This week, I want to do my best to not let stress get to me. There's a lot to do at work, but I need to make time to go on walks during my break and go to the gym during lunch. I did well today and am determined to make this week successful.

Great goal! My goal this week is to walk everyday. I'm off tomorrow and Wednesday, and I want to take really long walks on both of those days. I haven't been to the gym in weeks, but I think it's time to just do it. I'm finding that I prefer to be outdoors to do my workouts but since I have ten months left of my gym…

So glad you found what works best for you. Congrats on your progress so far.

I love adding bananas and a bit of honey. So delicious.

I walked to and from work everyday this week with the exception of Thursday since I telecommuted. Yesterday I noticed how much easier it is walking home. Since a good portion of it is uphill, I used to dread it everyday. It was a very nice NSV. I didn't go to the gym since I'm still getting used to all the walking, but I…

Log it truthfully to remain accountable. Understand why you did it and think of ways to control it in the future. I tend to binge, because I'd rather feel full than feel hurt or depressed or stressed. Once I truly understood that, I started making changes. Also, understand that one day of bad eating isn't the end. This is…

Those are great goals. Regarding logging everyday, it gets easier once you learn what works best for you. What works for me is logging everything in the morning and adding/subtracting throughout the day if necessary. My goal this week is to walk everyday.

I am thankful I no longer experience leg pain whenever I walk. In August, it was miserable walking to work everyday. For the past month, I've been able to walk to work with no pain at all. I am also thankful that my boyfriend is so supportive. We plan our groceries for the week together and go on walks.

As someone who also has a substantial amount of weight to lose, it's really easy getting sucked into the vortex of "this isn't enough." Because the inevitable cycle is extreme calorie restriction, binge, repeat. It doesn't end, and you end up losing the same amount of weight over and over again. So beyond physical health,…

Why don't you recommend eating at home and cooking a dinner together? You can make whatever you want and if she doesn't like it, she can order take out or delivery. One thing I've learned is not to expect anyone to cater around my needs. If I don't feel comfortable about something, I say so, and I don't do it. I've also…

I binged almost nightly for years. I would eat almost 3,000 calories worth of McDonald's in one sitting and then feel like I didn't have control of my body. I haven't binged in almost three months and really, it was just holding myself accountable and realizing that I do control my body. I was using food as a way to deal…

I walk across the street to the gym.

I thought this was a typo. That sounds really interesting. The combination of beets and sriracha... I'm not sure. Though I thought I would hate black bean burgers, and they ended up being quite delicious.

Aardvark habanero hot sauce. It changed my life.

I absolutely love banana "ice cream." Almost more than regular ice cream (gasp). Last weekend, I made black bean brownies (I swear I'm not a vegan, but I truly love vegan desserts) and there was a bunch of the batter left in the blender, so I added frozen bananas and mixed it together. It was divine.

I like to cut them up like french fries, lightly coat them with coconut oil (really, whatever you want works... I often use bacon fat if I have it on hand). I then bake it at 425 for about thirty minutes. Halfway through I turn it over to make sure it's evenly crispy. On the side, I make a sriracha mayo for dipping. You…

Cheat meals. Now I just eat what I want as long as it fits with my day. Haven't binged in over two months.

I love ice cream. Last night, I made some from frozen bananas, cocoa powder and chocolate PB2. It was heavenly and a huge bowl was less than 200 calories. I added walnuts, dark chocolate chips and raspberries.

I can't agree with this more. The reason I gave up is because I was so strict on my intake and exercise that even though I looked better, I felt like crap. Also, I gained some of the weight back. I'd rather have slow and steady progress over the course of a year or so than drastic weight loss followed by binging and…

To be honest, the best motivation for me is knowing that I'll feel better if I just do it. Every time I miss going to the gym, I regret it. I never regret working out.
-
Definitely trying the recipe this weekend. Thanks!

The only one I can think of is this woman repeatedly screaming "FAT!" while I was taking a walk.

Just enter everything in MFP, and you have the choice to sync it at your computer or with a cell phone with bluetooth. It will reset at midnight.

I agree with this. Yesterday, I felt really discouraged and unmotivated and the whole time I was complaining, I still went to the gym, made my own food and ended the day well. It surprised me. You're not going to feel super motivated everyday, but it's important to learn how to deal with those days. I'm definitely still…

And only weak people judge others harshly. Guess I'm feeling a little weak today.
-
My mom made me drink that when I was young. I had really bad diarrhea for three days. I wouldn't recommend it.
-
I think because the first motivation should be you. If you feel like you aren't worth it, then you're not going to do it. But if you just take that first step and keep going, you'll find that this is a lot easier than you think. You can do this.

I lost about fifty pounds before I saw a difference (350-300). When you have a lot to lose, it's definitely more difficult to see the difference. If possible, keep some clothing from your highest weight and maybe once a month, wear them again. It's easier to "see" the difference when you're wearing clothes that are now far…

I had similar insecurities when I started going to the gym. Seriously, no one cares about you, and I mean that in the most wonderful way. Everyone is so focused on what they're doing, they could care less about what you're doing or what you look like. I have had one or two people stare while I workout, but I don't really…
