Breaking in one of my Christmas presents today

Well it looks like Jan isn't much fun all around - good job we have our running to keep us going. I haven't slept well this week though I know my reason which is work related, now over and we move on - think I might have one of those afternoon naps @ContraryMaryMary 😊 Now come on @noblsheep that wasn't much of rant - give…

Hi @quilteryoyo it is set to only recognise runs so it doesn't pick up other people's strava walks, When you manually input can you tag it as a virtual run? Great to know you got to run outside @Faebert Sounds like more interesting times @Camaramandy648 and I really hope you find a smooth run soon as you truly deserve it!

Waving to your Grandparents @eleanorhawkins 👋
-
Hope you have a quick recovery. Took a trip yesterday undone by some pesky brambles though fortunately the only thing hurt was my pride.
-
It's that new year commitment and the food abuse over Christmas. You are doing brilliant towards your goal and those 140's are within touching distance 😊

As long as it's early, I do love breakfast at the yard

The Run the World team have reached the wonderous shores of the UK, we sprinted past Dover Castle that was so loved by Mr Hitler he gave strict instructions to the Luftwaffe that it was not to be touched! We are now headed to Dreamland in Margate, home of the worlds longest all-wooden roller coaster which is now 100 years…

Longest run ever!!!! For me that is, not forever ever, that would be weird, and probably not doable in 3 hours on a Sunday morning! 1,680ft by the way - quite a bit short 😕

If you are anything to go by @Beka3695 then you mother is made of great spirit and will be managing the team looking after her by now. Sending my love her way **hugs**

Excellent work by the Run the World challenge team going past 1,000 miles. We went through southern Belgium and past the Scourmont Abbey where Trappist monks brew one of my favourite beers, Chimay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTbTzINcj1w I'll stop here for a while and catch you up 🍻 Cheers!

Good to have you both on the mend @skippygirlsmom and @quilteryoyo and here's hoping the after-effects are over quickly. I feel like I am totally wussing out with just the rain @polskagirl01 though your run looks more fun! That's what we are here for @AlphaHowls and you have to know just how much of an inspiration you and…

Stress eating, bored eating, we all suffer the same so you can't beat yourself up for human nature. Regret what you don't do - not what you do. If you did it you did it for a reason, own that reason, then get back to what you want to do now. There are times we need something other than our plan, when that happens go with…

We are making solid progress on the Run the World 2021 challenge having covered 891 miles already. We left Poland, paddled around Lake Orava in Slovakia, briefly stopped to see the Spanish Horses in Vienna, skirt around the Salzkammergut mountains in Austria, had a few steins at the Munich Octoberfest, blinked as we went…

Canoeing @Machka9 very nice. There is enough rain here to give it a go down the road!

I would run the actual trail route at a different time to the main event @rheddmobile and be true to yourself. So many people want to take the effort to cheat and they are more the fools for it. One of my strava challenges has someone who apparantly runs or speed walks for 14 hours a day, every day - whatever, I'll settle…

Have you entered all of you details correctly? I managed to put a decimal point in and weighed 1.07 kg in stead of 107kg and got very few calories on the adjustment. The other things that matter are how you have set your lifestyle. If MFP is already expecting an active lifestyle it won't give you as much credit either.

Good to see so many keen to get going. Started C25K in June 2019, ran my first ever half marathon in November that year. Drifted badly in 2020 especially the last few months and looking to get back and get to marathon distance. Really pleased I managed to do 13.1 miles again last weekend though I suffered for it. Here…

Hopefully you find some balance @kirstymn even if it tilted!!! Just getting into Strava (working for me @eleanorhawkins ) and it is a little harsh in it's graphs. I ran the same route two days running with only 3 seconds per mile difference and the graph makes me feel as if it says "Second run was ****, look at that time…

Sorry, not riding at the moment as year end at work is really busy. Good to see you getting mileage in!!
-
Good spot @katharmonic and I will give the update on things we have passed once we get year end out of the way. You fooled me there @noblsheep I would change it if i could  I have included the Boston marathon route so we can run it with @PastorVincent again.

It could be a hot water tap, we have one, very useful in winter
-
Rock on tomorrow @skippygirlsmom Didn't feel great today, didn't feel like running - so I ran up the nearest hill, Bo Peep. 1.9km, 440ft, 20% max gradient ranked in the toughest 10 cycle climbs in Sussex. I do actually feel better having done it, though I wouldn't recommend it!
-
Great loss @Jme03 Not feeling great today so ran up the nearest hill I could find - do I feel better? No! Oh well, you don't know until you try
-
Work taking over again... must run today! Monthly question? 1) Dog, cat, fish, reptile or petless? Petless, I love animals though just a year without clearing up poo would be nice 2) Can you hold a toot in? I swear I'm old. I get the walking farts. Didn't know we had to! 3) Did you do anything nice/outside of yourself…
-
That made me chuckle. Having updated the RtW2021 challenge I saw we had done a similar mileage, only you had taken an hour and a half less time to complete it than I had
-
The map for the Run the World challenge is with the Challenge Hound tech team. It was too many miles to fit on one walking route so they have a little bit of work to do putting it together. My strava is not linking so just updated with my most recent runs. As the majority are in the Northern hemisphere I suspect mileage is…

Blimin' heck @Beka3695 -that is more than a transformation!! Exercise update for week 2 Wk 2 (03/01-09/01): Steps - 100,442 Steps total miles - 60.20 Jalk miles - 9.30 Run miles - 30.04 Cycle miles - 32.69 Adjusted exercise miles - 57.75 Cumulative 2021 Steps - 134,790 Steps total miles - 79.90 Jalk miles - 9.30 Run miles…
