Good to hear that people and their offspring are on the recovery route. Now that is a pair of shoes @SummerSkier I got my 10k in for May. Keeping it steady, we have had temps over 30°C (86°F) for nearly a week. It is affecting my sleep more than my steps. Still heading for half a million steps in May which is big increase…

Happy Friyay! Checking in early as we off for a long weekend to the West Country. This means a hotel breakfast where I fully intend to stuff my face and then try and eat nothing for the rest of the day, we can call it intermittent fasting if that helps. PW 110.4kg (243.4lbs) CW 109.4kg (240.3lbs) Happy with that loss, not…

Happy Sunday all, It looks like you have been very busy. Finally managed a run with the parkrun plus a bit yesterday with the parkrun bit in 36:05. I hope to get to 10k fairly soon though it was a warm day in the UK which thwarted my plan of anything beyond 4 miles. I did have a couple of days where I skipped my 5 miles…

Hi everyone, The diet has left my SO and I feeling tired, still trying to make things happen. Keeping up the walking and did my first parkrun in ages today. Hi everyone! Hope you had a good week. PW 113.4 (250.0lbs) CW 111.5 (245.8lbs) Busy selling cars and missed my 5 miles yesterday. I am off to London to see my son tomorrow and hopefully make up for that. Have a great weekend!

I'm with @chris_in_cal , write off bad runs when they happen, see how the next one goes. Nothing is linear or consistent in running at our level. Some great runs by everyone out there, well done all. I haven't had a run yet, I think it is psychological right now. I am still walking 5 miles a day minimum and getting under…

Hi @jguldi11 my starting weight was 133.1kg or 293.4lbs. That was in April 2023 when I first started in this group. Cheers!

You can use my Dad's carrot and stick approach @angf0679 , if I was sat on my butt to long he would pelt me with carrots, I never hung aroung long enough for the stick part.

Totally getting @Gidgitgoescrzy "yoga people aren't my people", where do they find all these skinny people who can chew their toe nails! Thank you @jguldi11 and my weigh in day is today, go Fridays! Last week (01/05) 114.75kg or 253 lbs, today 113.4kg or 250 lbs. Any interesting plans for the weekend?

Nice losses @davert123, @jguldi11, and @stephanodda. I hope all goes smoothly with the op @davert123 If there is room to rejoin for May that would be great or I am happy to be a cheerleader if not. Walked 10 miles today as I am having lasagne and garlic bread for dinner.

Has anyone else found that eating healthier means more work? I used to share cooking dinner with my SO, now I seem to do all of it. Admittedly it means I weigh everything so I can track properly. To add to that I am now making lunches for us both as well as the occassional breakfast.

Started the day well, down 2.2kg (4.8lbs). Had a few errands to run for my daughter so missed the parkrun. Went for a 2k swim, then felt really tired so sacked the run. Took one walk, it started raining hard when I was 1.5 miles from home. Tried again later, started raining when I was 0.75 miles away from home walking the…

Restricted to 3 x 5k a week so going for 65k/40 miles. Have a great May everyone!

Happy Friyay! They sound like a wins to me @Gidgitgoescrzy and @Uisceuisce I'm still not getting under 1,500 cals a day. Adding in healthy items to increase fibre and protein goals is pushing me higher in cals. Breakfast is eggs/avocado/seeds or porridge/fruit/seeds (circa 350 cals), lunch can vary though is based on…

I'm pretty sure the sun is always shining with you @quilteryoyo ☀️

Fortunately I had quite a bit of sun @lauren_989 @jguldi11 as I went on a mini-tour of Asia with my SO whilst it was winter in the UK, and took my family to Australia where it hit 40 C. Unfortunately whilst I was away I couldn't get MFP community posts on my phone, just a blank screen. I came back to the UK a few weeks ago…

I hope you all had a tremendous festive season. My apologies for going awol for 4 weeks. Between the job search and then the family festivities life ran away. We hosted and tonight was the last left overs meal. Cheese stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon with goose fat roast potatoes and brussel sprouts, washed down with lemon…

Happy Friday! Still plodding aling between 5k and 7k. Struggling to get runs on the right day. Minor issues realky. Have a great weekend everyone.

Happy Friday! A busy week with a few too many treats. My company went into administration. I am so busy during the day I don't know how I found time to work. Meeting people tends to involve coffee and cake 🫢. We all have challenges and mine are small in comparison to others. You have my hopes that you find happiness in the…
