Sorry all, not been keeping up and not running. The loss of the newsfeed has led to me not checking in regularly as well. Here's to getting my head back in the game!
-
I love a step challenge @melaniedscott what should I do to join? Weigh in today : zero loss, zero gain. Not tragic though I need my head to be fully in the game again. The loss of the newsfeed is more impactful than I expected. I didn't realise how much I looked forward to everyone's daily updates. I have kept accepting…

Fridge is the shortened version of refrigerator. Only there is no 'd' in refrigerator!

Good evening, it has been a very busy fortnight and geting back to the groove today. Sunday is my weigh in day. How has everyone's week been?

Good evening All, I hope you are having a great weekend so far! This is my first week logging with you guys and I normally weigh in on a Sunday. I have been around on MFP for a long time, on and off. I do well, stop logging, what a surprise I put the weight back on. For this particular tranche : Starting weight 133.2kg…

A training run @shanaber as @eleanorhawkins has planted the idea of a 50k trail run next year. Welcome @josefinejem , I have a few HMs lined up but nothing at pace though there are others here that are quick. Two days of travelling done. Watched my team get trounced at Wembley on Sunday. At least I had a good time with…

A run happened today. 20 miles and 2.5 walk at the end, 2,500ft of climbing. Not a great experience. Inclines were too steep to run, some downhills were to steep and muddy to run. I did see others running up the hills and they were all about half my weight so maybe that is what I should work on. Two day of travelling…

Officially half-way through the month here in the UK. The sun is shining! Everything on plan still, apart from the swimming still. Zero yards of swimming so far. The target I am short on is that I am still officially obese. 4.4kg short of just being overweight so I will have to move that target to June, or grow an extra…

Over a third of the month gone already! Everything still on plan bar the swimming. Did a trail half on Saturday in 24c/75f though only 200m of climb. A glorious day though I definitely didn't want to run further than that. Still have everything crossed for your Mum @AlphaHowls I hope you and Tippy are feeling better…

@daria0919 I'm with @Scott6255 and @ContraryMaryMary on the garmin front. I wear mine 23.9/7 (don't ask me why I take a waterproof watch off in a hot tub!). All the numbers are a guide and the trend is key. This morning my body battery is 37/100 and my HRV is unbalanced according to garmin. I feel fine and it didn't stop…

It is 'Better Half', not sure I am worthy of this amazing lady!

Finally a picture of me relaxing at my BH's favourite spa where I was taking 4 mile walks less than 48 hours after the marathon, which made me very happy. Everyone of you deserves a share of this medal. You have no idea how many times I read, and re-read, your advice and encouragement which gave me that nudge to get out…

Part two

I just realised my race report failed so I have broken it in two parts.

Keeping everything crossed for your Mum @AlphaHowls Great bike race @Laurz9191 Welcome on board @katrose1985 Same plan for me @daria0919 though I have a bit further to go with a view for me to lose two and a half stone before October as my main goal. Having come up 5 miles short of target in April I will do the sensible…

Keeping everything crossed for you Mum @AlphaHowls You are so right, run far, run free! Because you can! Let's do Alphahowls proud this weekend and cover the mileage she is unable to do.

There is a can of guinness in the bag for immediately after. The Stroke Association are giving us fish and chips after the race and the fam have booked a Brazilian place near Covent Garden where I will be eating all of the steak!

Windy and wet here!

Picked up my race pack today. There are not many Walkingtons in the world. Three of us are in this marathon! There is a Walkington society so I have reached out to my Dad to see if he can contact them. The chances of being able to meet in amongst 50,000 people are pretty slim though.

They look great. I take a trip to the Asics outlet at gunwharf quay, make a day of it with the fam, never failed to pick up something that I wanted.

Fantastic @Laurz9191 and an amazing PB!

I'm not normally an excitable person and yet I am so buzzing about your race @Laurz9191 - no pressure but you carry my hopes and dreams 😂 Any news on @7lenny7 ? Is he still recovering from his hundred miler? A quiet weekend for me. My BH is off work for once so going on a jaunt. Have a great weekend everyone!

Why on earth did I try to do it? I can, for about 1/10th of a second!

So I did the London Landmarks half marathon on Sunday. I thought it was a good chance to get a feel for running in London and in a large group. About 24,000 people and I started very close to the back. Being at the back meant less waiting, though still a good 45 minutes to get to the start line. There was no queue for the…

I saw a comment that @7lenny7 had finished. Are you up to posting an update @7lenny7 ? Ice cream fixes most child ailments @ContraryMaryMary I quite like running at dawn @yirara though any time I will not be seen is a winner! Hope you all had a great weekend
