  • I too love my wine, so I just save up enough calories so that I can have a glass a couple times a week. I also really like drinking sparkling wine, and buy that in splits. That way I will just drink one split and not go back for more. I think it is about moderation. If you are drinking many glasses a night there is going…
  • Don't beat yourself up!! Think about what may have triggered it, but don't stress about it. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back on track!
  • I cannot get over wanting to eat all the time, so I do :) I just eat small, healthy snacks throughout the day. If you are feeling hungry you are going to end up eating something you shouldn't eventually. I currently eat something pretty much every 2 hours and I am almost NEVER hungry.
  • I don't fake it, I ignore it. Like, just don't log anything for the day at all. If I don't see it, it did not happen! Starting this new journey, I am not allowing myself any of that. I also agree with the PP, I do not look beyond cals at this point, so the other stuff may be messed up. I wouldn't know. But I am not…
  • I loved it, my shins did not. I hope to revisit when I lose more weight and there is less impact on my legs. I hope it works well for you!!

  • Yes, that is not good for you. Why not relax for a week. Just a week. Stay within your cals, but don't overanalyze what is healthy and not. Then reassess how you feel. YOu may find you hate eating like that. Or you may be like me and love it. You have to find what works for you and what kind of lifestyle you can maintain.…
  • Then don't! Lets say you eat a salad and a sandwhich with a fruit for lunch. You log the calories. You eat something similar for dinner and you log the calories. You eat a couple nummy snacks. You log the calories. At the end of the day, you are under or at your calories. That is a good day. STOP BEATING YOURSELF UP. Plan…
  • Well, your doc is insane. DO NOT MESS WITH YOUR HOROMONES!!!! DONT DO IT!!!!! Especially as a woman, it can screw you up for life.
  • I think you are overwhelmed (and hello, we have ALL been there!). Which is why you need to stop beating yourself up. So what if you have nutella, milk and meat for lunch one day? Really? Don't put so much pressure on yourself.
  • I have to agree taht there is always time. If I can work full time and go to school full time, have a puppy and still spend time with my husband all while doing this, you can find time!
  • If you are overwhelmed by that specific diet plan right now, why not take a break from it and just count calories. Give yourself time to breathe and live! Not everyone is goign to fit into this perfect little box. Maybe that is not the right diet for you at all, or maybe it is not right ofr you right now. There is NO SHAME…
  • I think you are over thinking. Deep breaths :) I am going to friend request you and you can look at my diary for the last couple days. I do eat some of that crap, and I know it is not the BEST for me, but it is also what works for me at this point in my life. I eat frozen meals. I eat carrots. I cook quick and easy…
  • Sorry, I am being a postwhore on this, but look at www.skinnytaste.com, it has some great SUPER yummy recipies that are lighter versions of things that I love.
  • I am glad you are starting therapy. That was the best money I have ever spent on myself. Seems like you are eating to get rid of emotions/make you happy, which was what I was doing too. Eating better is not going to make the emotions go away, it is probably going to make them more prominant. But eating to cover them up is…
  • You CAN eat the stuff you love that is not good for you, it is all about moderation. That is key, and something I have to remind myself of often. At Christmas you best believe I have having a peice of pie. But one peice, not 3 or 4. I am going to eat some yummy bad for me Mexican food on my birthday, but it is one meal,…
  • I know my lifestyle works because it has worked before. Yes, I gained some back, but that was because of stress/emotional crap that I had never dealt with, not the diet/lifestyle. This is a lifestyle that I can maintain. I have tried many other ways, and anything too restrictive just does not work for me.
  • I have tried to spread out my snacks and allow myself enough snacks that I am eating often and don't get the "itch" as much. When I do, I make myself do something. Anyhting. (Pick up a book, play with the dog, go for a walk, load of laundry ect ect). I really want to learn to knit so that I will have something to do with…
  • The best bet is to look at the nutrition info for the restaraunt you choose online. Most will have some good healthy options, or at least options that you can play with and make healtier. So, let him pick and then do some research :)
  • I just hate the hoverers/analyzers. There are a few people at work that know I am working on losing weight, and there is one person that is always asking "Can you eat that?" or "Is that part of your program". I want to scream "mind your own business", but whatever. I have explained that I am eating healthy and exercising,…
  • Oh I am right there with you on that...I DO NOT WANT to know what I was consuming daily before. ACK. And I think I will probably count calories here and there to keep myself in check, just not every day. Although having the app makes it so easy.
  • Honest question then: If you don't believe in counting calories, why join MFP? Isn't the main point of this website calorie counting and tracking/logging everything you eat? I don't think you have to count calories for the rest of your life either, you learn how to eat healthy, lose your weight, figure out what it takes to…
  • 100 Cal Jello Chocolate Pudding Cup w/ some Cool Whip Lite on top :)
  • I have the Booble too and love it.
  • Drinking through a straw or sport top it the only way I will get all my water in for some reason, I wont buy a water bottle without one or the other.
  • I have to eat every couple of hours or i will end up making bad choices. Here is what my day looks like right now: 7:30am, coffee drink, sometimes a peice of fruit 9:30am, breakfast (usually oatmeal) 11:30am, lunch 1:30pm: first afternoon snack 3:30pm: 2nd afternoon snack then I go my longest period without food, but this…
  • Not to beat a dead horse, but I see lots of red flags in your statement above, (Words like 'protective' and phrases like 'takes it out on me'), so please procede with caution in this relationship. I know that nothing we say will make you change your mind, but make sure you really know him and see him for who he is.
  • Also wanted to add that you DESERVE to be loved, mind body and soul, by the person you are going to marry. I weigh much more than I did when I got married (although I was overweight then too), and my H still loves me and my body.
  • I enter most of it in ahead of time, since I try to pre-plan my days. Some days are more "by the seat of my pants" though.
  • WHY are you overweight? I use food to comfort myself and hold back my emotions. Food is always there and always good. In that process I have become a chronic overeater/binge eater, which became worse after an abusive relationship and the PTSD, anxiety and depression the followed. (Can you tell I have been to therapy? LOL)…
