Yep ^^^ this! Good for you starting your journey and asking for help - it won't always be easy! I will warn you, you are going to be absolutely shocked when you realize just how small most portions really are. I know I have been surprised. And the suggestion to take it slowly and change one thing at a time could be a key…

I have worn the Fitbit Flex for more than a year and have found it to be pretty accurate. It also works with my company's health program in which I earn money for steps - woohoo! If I could, I would seriously look into the Misfit Shine because it does the same things as the older Fitbits (does not have an HRM...) I think…

Love the chart! And your suggestions! Thank you!

I also suggest asparagus or brussel sprouts or broccoli. I also like the idea of grilled pineapples. Yummmm

Gonna try with Greek yogurt. Thanks! What is the spicy recipe, @kamber13?
-
Oh my goodness, I have to try the Greek yogurt cheesecake. The blueberry lemon one sounds amazing, too!

I am for any smoking/chew ban in certain areas, which should include any area in where children are present. Everyone was up in arms when the restaurant smoking ban was up for discussion, saying they would lose business (wah wah wah) and the like. Business actually INCREASED due to the ban!

Bwahahahahaa @_incogNEATo_

Kale salad with black forest turkey with oregano and basil balsamic and two Zesta crackers. Why? Other than the fact that it tastes good, I am saving calories for a charity wine dinner.
-
What they said. Whatever works best for you (makes you feel better, is more sustainable long-term) so long as you burn more calories than you consume. Good luck on your journey!

Enjoying the weekends with family and friends and going out and just not making the better decisions that I make during the week. I try to keep my weekdays under calorie goal so I have room for going over on the weekends, but it is defintely hard!

I do not suggest a cocktail over beer for calories. Most liquors have as many calories in 1-1.5 ounces as your entire beer does. I also have gone camping three times since it started warming up and have a hard time not partaking in the hot dogs, burger and s'mores. I hike and walk around the campground. Good luck!

JCPenney carries A.N.A. jeggings that are the bomb! My best friend gave me her pair that were too small for her and they fit me perfectly. I then went in and bought the newer version and love them just as much. I never imagined I would like skinny jeans or jeggings and now that's pretty much all I wear. I haven't been into…

I would highly recommend taking them back to the store where you bought them to see if you can exchange if an insert doesn't help. Since I am pretty new to running, I made sure to purchase my shoes at a store that will take them back with no questions asked within 2 weeks and up to 30 days exchange. There are a couple…

Congratulations on your success! If this doesn't inspire someone, I don't know what will!

Yes, 1200 is the minimum. After losing ten pounds, I have noticed that I burn fewer calories with the same exercises, but I have not dropped below 1200 calories. 1200 is your minimum to keep going day to day, but as you burn calories you can eat more than 1200. Does that help?
-
I know for a fact that I did not change mine and my base calories (before exercise) have updated on its own! Never mind! It just looks different from before, but is still set at 1200.

People who can't follow simple EXPLICIT directions!

You were TOTALLY describing someone who used to work for me!
-
Congratulations on making a lifestyle change and being an inspiration to others!

I went down about a half size after losing nearly 30 lbs. It's odd, but my doctor said that the additional weight on your body spreads your feet out (so you'd think you'd just have a wider foot) and when you lose weight you can definitely go down in shoe size.
-
I TOTALLY get that! And even worse, now that you can enter your destination I started entering it, thinking I'm saving us all some time. It's not saving anyone any time when the friggin idiots (on THREE occasions) have gone to the daggone destination instead of the pickup. I really think they have recently lowered the…

OMG, YES! Sorry for using all-caps, as that can be irritating, but seriously! I could go on and on about this one, but I better stop now.

^^^THANK YOU!

I was 118 lbs when I met my husband and felt best about myself then (I was working full time as a model). I picked 120 since I work out a lot more than I did then. I also plugged in my height and age just to see what the 'experts' say. I am 5'3" and 35 years old. I am currently hovering around 122-125. Based on the…

AGREED! Jaw literally dropped. Please continue to share your broscience stories. They are providing excellent entertainment! I'm still shocked by the story about the girl who doesn't eat meat because muscle weighs more than fat. That still has to be the winner!
-
That's fantastic! Congratulations!

@cityruss That looks delicious! Is it avocado chocolate pudding?

I LOVE Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurts! Those are my fave and if I need a crunch, I measure out a small amount of granola. They're a good dessert alternative. I'm going to have to look up the PBFit. I love PB2, but haven't heard of the Fit. I also measure out veggie chips or something like that (I'm a chipaholic so those…
