I make a yogurt slice occasionally which the whole family love. 700grm of your favourite yogurt (I use low fat) 100 grm low fat cream cheese (optional) 40 to 50 grm of sugar free jelly crystals (depends on how set you want it and you can use whatever flavour jelly you like) 90 grm of bran flakes( or whatever you like for a…

Back a couple of days from vacation and today was weigh-in and I had a 1.5 kg loss. While I was good with my food I had a few beers and am very happy with the result considering I was expecting gain.

Was a bit worried about it. I guess that's normal. Feels better now that I'm here. Not been off plan for almost 3 months and Im just learning about nutrition. Just over thinking it I guess. "Moderation"I was told recently. I suppose it's not about one week away but rather what you do the other 51 weeks of the year. Enjoy…

I did that especially for you. I knew you couldn't resist it. It's in your nature. Popcorn nice was it?
-
Thankyou for the correction .

Well if I can make one person laugh! I guess while your laughing at my ignorance your leaving some other poor sod alone so it's all good. Enjoy your popcorn!

Lol if it works why would it be wrong.
-
That's one way. Another way is to eat the wrong foods. You don't necessarily need to over eat the wrong types of food to put up weight.
-
The reason it boggles you'er mind is because you are wrongly assuming that everyone who is obese over eats.
-
Equally why would anyone consume double or triple there bodies requirement. Is that necessary or sustainable?
-
True. I asked my wife to buy some almond or walnuts for me. Later that day she asked me to work out her cals and she got a nasty shock. She had eaten about 7 almonds thinking it would be a few cals each. Little did she know:)

Well I haven't read the whole tread but enough to know that I just might get nailed to a tree and flogged because I was on a vlcd 600calorie diet. The first 10 days were quite difficult. Bad head ache and serious mood swings but after that it was easy enough. Social occasions can be auckward because well you can't eat and…

I stir-fry in the microwave all the time. Once you have a heat resistant microwave bowl. You can heat the oil in the bowl take it out add whatever you like. If you don't want to add oil then it works just as good. I think stir-frys taste better when nuked, Plus the added bonus of less mess. Portion size depends on the…

Such a helpfull post. I had been quite confused about this subject and that confusion has lead to poor choices. Now that I have worked out my percentages I can at least make more informed choices. Cheers

I made a dessert last weekend. 1 tub of fat free yogurt 500g mixed with 500g fat free creme fraise. Into that I mixed desolved sugar free strawverry jelly/jello and poured the mixture on top of 100g of bran flakes in a cheesecake tin. It set like a cheesecake and the flakes softened to make a really nice base. 100 calories…

I have been finding it difficult lately but I know if I keep pushing through it I will come out of it stronger. If I sit back and wait for something to happen I'll be sitting on my back side for a long time and believe me I have had plenty of practise with that. You need to make the move no matter how you feel. Feelings…

I think that's a very realistic goal best of luck with it. On the weigh in issue I do it weekly and I find it helpful. but measurements are a good idea too.

I have real trouble with push-ups. And usually do them on my knees. Yesterday to my amazement was the first time I was able to do more than one planked. I actually did a few sets and only went on to my knees for the very last push-up. What I noticed also is that when I have been working out hard then push-ups even from the…

I was just stressing about over doing it in a general sense. I feel good and have only minor leg ache. Been resting since yesterday morning and not Back to gym until tomorrow evening. My mood was a bit flat but I put that down to my intake which I have just increased. Point taken though. Cheers!

Been there done it. What helps me is not looking at food in terms of good and bad but rather where certain food fits in my daily allowance. I have a daily calorie goal so if I want to eat something particular then I need to fit that into my allowance. I think this helps to keep me focused on eating a balanced diet and…

Thanks guys. Don't know that I have it together but I do feel I jumped in at the deep end. But I'm an all or nothing type of person in some ways. Just hope I can stay the distance.
