  • Good for you! I used to hit the snooze but when my fiance' went to Iraq I got two springer spaniel pups who sleep on the bed and do jumping jacks across my stomach between 5 & 6 a.m. Gives a new meaning to "wake up mommy"!! I hope I can stick to my convictions as well but our best friend is dying of liver cancer…

  • If anyone has a Pizza Ranch nearby, try their new seasonal Tuscan Roma pizza. It is awesome. It has the super thin crust, very thin layer of alfredo sauce, sliced roma tomatoes, spinach and very little cheese. Also a good dish for Lent. It is YUMMO!
  • When we drink alcohol at home, we only drink red wine with dinner and once in awhile, a Bailey's irish cream after dinner. Giving it up was not as bad as I thought it would be however our pastas & meats don't taste as good. Maybe I'm not as good of a cook as I thought I was!!

  • I haven't found too many foods that have absolutely "no carbs" but a snack of 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of cashews, sunflower seeds, peanuts or pistachios might do it, depending on how you're doing on fat & protein.
