  • hiya i've been doing metafit classes for a month or so....going later tonight. Last week at the thursday class the trainer announced the workouts would be getting a bit longer 26 minutes or so plus warmup and cooldown - those few minutes extra were a killer! Love love love the classes though :)
  • Thanks everyone for your replies and those pics are awesome. I think bingo wings is a very popular UK expression - when you jump up with you card to shout 'house' your underarms wave separately or something :)
  • that is unbelievable - what do they think kids do, esp boys as you say!
  • I agree - the first option is what i'd do (did when I was using 30DS). You get some pretty good strength moves with 30DS but i couldn't bear to do the same workout with the same trainer day in day out, even if it is both short and good. Giving yourself some variety and an all important rest day sound good to me. If you…
  • I agree the kettlercise ones are a good place to start. I've been going to a Kettlercise class at my local authority gym and it is good to have a trainer at first checking your form if that is possible. Check out the amazon.com (US site) reveiews of kettleworx - the reviews on there put me off these. Angie miller's…
  • Thanks everyone - well that's pretty unanimous then. I was tempted but still thinking Bosu too.
  • I like the Tae Bo and TurboFire ones and the SKOGG kettlebell system of course!
  • Some very good suggestions here.....and some, well, NOT. Please be nice people. If someone seems to be having a rough time and you feel you can't support them there's no need to have a go!
  • You look fabulous and so much happier and radiant. You deserve to - great job xx
  • i just got bleeped LOL **** and **** !!!!!
  • "This **** is BA-na-nas y'all" is my fav Shaunism so far.....
  • Loving Insanity - can't believe it is middle of week 2 already. Fingers crossed for the fit test next monday!
  • Hiya Love that 100 workout - will definatley cut and paste that as a word document! I've been exercising and pushing myself since April..... so i'm doing Insanity (started 26th December). It is scary and brilliant at the same time! I'm in a challenge group for folks who stated it on that day as well, so don't worry about…
  • Hi everyone Great to read all your stories. I'm Ali, I'm 42 and live in Scotland. I'm a working mum to two young boys (4 and 2) and live with my OH of nearly 14 years (wow didn't realise it was that long ha ha). I was fit and active in my younger days - a serious ballet dancer in my youth but a little too tall to even…
  • Love the shred but lent my dvd to a work colleague errr ages ago. Her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism one is great too.
  • Great idea for the first challenge. I have been doing OK with this the past few days but when I go back to work it's harder - the water cooler is oh 5 steps away from my desk! Water, water, everywhere.....
  • Hi I'm Ali. I have always struggled with confidence and esteem, even when I'm doing well I'm a worrier - what if, what if....... I find open agression and hostility really difficult to deal with, embarassing as well as intimidating. Cos I'm naturally pretty easy going too i often seem timid to other people (actually much…
  • Did insanity Pure Cardio this morning.......gaaaah it was hard but good fun too. Ali
  • Hi i'm Ali I joined spring 2011 (April I think). I have two pre-schoolers and work full time (boo!). WHen I was growing up I was a ballet dancer and really fit. Have lost most but not all of what I want to shed now. I love exercise! I'm in Scotland in the UK. I've just started doing the Insanity programme this week so I…
  • Hiya I love DVDs - have just started Insanity and did most of Turbo Fire. Also love Tae Bo, Step, Yoga, Jillian and Davina DVDs. I am also really into kettlebells and just got sent the SKOGG DVDs plus go to a class awesome! I do like to switch it up a lot - guess I get bored easily, or I'm very fickle! Ali
  • Bummer - hope you feel better soon!
  • Hi all Just did my first Pure Cardio workout...Oh.My.Dizzy.Aunt. But I LOVED it and looking forward to getting better at it....that's a workout I'll do even if i'm not doing a round of Insanity. Great job everyone who is keeping with the programme - it really encourages me to see your posts. :)
  • Hiya I'm finding some of the plank based ones very tough. It's mummy kicks that Kill me though. Not too bad for aches except my calves they hurt massively! Cardio Recovery tomorrow :)
  • Hiya Just done my first fit test (6 am 26/12/11). Found some really difficult and was flagging a bit by the end: Switch kicks 48 Power jacks 54 Power Knees 78 Power Jumps 29 Globe Jumps 8 Suicide Jumps 10 Push up jacks 9 Low Plank Oblique 24 phew.... Ali
