The UK Aldi adverts say 'it's like brands but cheaper' and it is. It's all the same stuff just with a different label, and most of the labels have been designed to look like the expensive brands. A lot of food gets made in the same factory anyway, regardless of whether it's an expensive brand or value brand. I know someone…

Where in the UK are you lol? I'm in the UK too and two medium meals is about £8 In terms of eating healthy being cheaper, it's not always the case. In terms of frozen food and tinned food, these obviously aren't as healthy as fresh food but last longer so are cheaper than buying fresh food all the time as it's not getting…

I'm the same but I agree with other posts - just ignore it. I do like veggies, but I much prefer fruit but the sugar is a killer. I just focus on the calories in the fruit and ignore the sugar. The way I see it is that fruit is healthy but it's much better to be getting that sugar from fruit than from a chocolate bar.

Only IF the man doesn't need to lose weight himself though.

Peanut butter and banana on a ryvita or toast!

My boyfriend loves cheese and jam! I thought he was the only one! Not healthy, but McDonald's breakfast sausage and maple syrup. Maybe not so weird but every time I've told someone it's a nice combination they look at me like I'm strange lol.

You can also buy microwaveable frozen jacket's now as well.

Too big at a UK size 10?! I have to say I am very shocked. I'm currently a UK 14-16 and I would LOVE to be a size 10 - that's not "too big" at all. I think that's really out of order for them to do that and I'm sure that can be legally classed as discrimination and goes against equal ops, etc.

Cookie dough. I have to stay away from it though as I'll eat the WHOLE tub in one sitting..

Probably a fruit salad. Might be staying at a friend's overnight so need something that I can prepare at home before I leave and won't go bad out of the fridge. If not then probably what I had this morning - overnight oats topped with a banana.

I've heard Whole Earth is a good brand, and a few people have mentioned it on here. I remember seeing it in Tesco and Asda, I've just not bought it yet.

This. If you take measurements though that can sometimes be motivation if the scale hasn't moved one week.

I luckily have no-one on my friends list like that and from what I've observed they don't have anyone like that either. That would just be horrible! I've had so many bad days myself I could never judge someone else for doing the same! We're all here to encourage and support each other so it should remain that way.

I'm currently trying to do an "all or nothing" with sweets and fizzy drinks. I know it's not necessarily the best way and I should find healthy alternatives (I do drink diet cola but it makes me really gassy lately), but at the moment, until I can control my splurges I need to go 'cold turkey'. OP - good points made there.

Wow, you look amazing! This will inspire me and I WILL do it too. Thank you, you look great
-
Wow! You are an inspiration, as the weight you've lost is around the amount I need to lose! Well done and keep it up! You'll look amazing in your bikini and dress come your wedding day (not that you don't already)! x

Today nothing, but yesterday tortilla chips! Can't say I've not been tempted though.

This is amazing advice!

I don't eat dressings with my salads out of personal preference as I'm not a fan of sauces/dressings. I am going to try and start adding olive oil to salads though to increase my intake of good fats. I've been thinking olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic and chilli flakes. I'm also going to try and snack on nuts and add…

I've heard lots of different things about protein and how much you should eat, but I've also heard that in order for it to be harmful, you need to be eating a stupidly excessive amount. There's some info here though, hope this helps towards clarifying it for you: http://www.maxitone.com/articles/protein.html

That show sounds familiar but can't remember if I've watched it or not. I'll take a look :-)

Baked sweet potato, cheddar cheese, weight watchers beans, apple and blackcurrant squash and a mug of green tea with sweetener. 548 calories according to MFP.

When I *was* working out and I went to boxercise classes I would be dripping with sweat during that. That's very interesting to know though, so when I do start my work outs again, if I'm pouring with sweat I'll know why haha :-P

I read online that the author wrote the books because she thought the Twilight books didn't have enough sex in them.

Hi and welcome :-) feel free to add me x

Hi I'm 23 and need to lose around 58 lbs
-
Lol no. Not that I know of  it's looking at why people are getting fatter basically, and looking at where it all started such as with bigger portions etc
-
I've found a food scale to be extremely useful and it actually worries me if I'm not able to weigh my food (i.e: if I'm out for a meal). Some foods I don't weigh as I've got used to what the portions look like or if it's an egg, etc but for the majority of foods I will do the measurements. It's entirely up to you if you…
