  • It also depends on my mood. Right now I am loving Turbo Fire (dance/kickboxing), but I also love P90X3 (home weight training) and Les Mills Combat (mixed martial arts)
  • Cheese, red wine, and chips! Way more into salty, savory foods than sugar. I dark chocolate candy bar (like Endangered Species) can last 2 weeks as long as my kids don't find it.
  • I love the Beachbody programs. P90X is great, but they make some other awesome ones too. I am currently doing Les MIlls' Combat. TurboFire is fun for cardio. P90X2 has a little of everything and has a solid focus on core. It really depends on what kind of workouts you enjoy. The most important thing is picking something…
  • I have a 7 and 8 year old boy and they love their legos. Also, for books, my hubby is just finishing reading them the Percy Jackson series and they are in love! They also still enjoy their cars/race tracks, remote control cars/helicopter. They also do enjoy "cool" clothes, ironically. But then again, I adopted my boys at…
  • I am currently doing RevAbs 6 days a week (approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour/day). I have also done P90X, Insanity, P90X2 and a little Brazil Butt LIft and Turbo Jam. Right now I am recovoering from a back injury at work and I am trying to lose about 30-40 lbs.
  • I am fortunate to have 2 children that love healthy foods and fruits and veggies and we spend a lot of time talking about healthy food choices. Sure, they love the rare junk food items - chips or soda or whatever, but we don't buy them except for a rare occasion. What I do is cook homemade meals every day and I let them…
  • I have done P90X, Insanity, some Turbo Jam and 10 Minute Trainer and am currently doing P90X2. As of this week, I have lost 20 lbs total using Beachbody programs as well as Shakeology. Feel free to add me for accountability/motivation!
  • I am 5'6" and very muscular, just trying to loose the fluff on top of the muscles - currently 164. Goal weight 140. I am not a runner (ends in injuries every time), but currently doing P90X2.
  • I second making your own if you are looking at cost. You can find some cage free powdered egg whites for very reasonable online, as well as like a "green mix" with lots of nutritious greens, then add it some almond milk and fruit, maybe a carrot or some spinach and you have one healthy shake without lots of artificial…
  • I work part-time, but from 2pm-2:30 am. So, the nice thing about that is I work out before work on work days and then when I get my kids off to school in the morning. However, last week was spring break and I still was able to work out all but one day by telling them it was time for me to work out and they were welcome to…
  • I love the recovery formula myself, but as I am vegan and sugar free for the month, I am not using it. I do miss having it as I feel like it helps me not get the munchies after I work out (currently doing P90X2). That being said, you could really do anything with a 4 carbs/1 protein ratio. Low fat chocolate milk is a good…
  • I am a Pescetarian and have been for 5 years. Currently, I am on a month long cleanse where I am vegan, gluten free, sugar (or artificial sugars) free, caffeine free, alcohol free. I find that I get plent of variety with both actually. We eat lots of beans and brown rice or quinoa, lentils (veggie "meatloaf" from lentils…
  • Okay, so I think I figured this out... 1 - 1550 2 - 23.4 3 - 1624 4 - 12 Part 2 1 -1550 2 - About 1400 However, based on the previous, I think I will try and up my NET to around 1600 instead of 1400. So, should I alter the stats in my HRM to put my age as 12?? That is where I got lost. I am a very fit female (have done…
  • I am in my sorta 4th week of P90X2 (last week was crazy due to a massive snowstorm that had my kids home from school all week). I think I am going to do the full 6 weeks of phase 1 as I feel I still have so much room for improvement. I am loving the workouts so far and am surprised by how challenging I find anything to do…

  • I have never been able to eat the way the nutrition guide suggests as I am a vegetarian, so a lot of my protein comes in the form of legumes, lentils, etc. So, I just count calories and have had results doing that. If you find your energy lacking you could eat a little more, but at your height/weight, you should be fine.…
  • WOW! Good for you - I can't imagine how amazing you must feel and you look awesome!
  • Anyone is free to add me as well!
  • I like the thin buns sometimes, but I do like the taste of real bread. Dave's Killer Bread has a light bread that is 60 calories and I will use that and make a tempeh and veggie sandwich. Oh, I am hungry just thinking of it!
  • I have done both P90X and Insanity. There isn't cardio, per se, but more using balance and core strength. That being said, I still burn a ton of calories and get my HR up, but not as much jumping as in Insanity. There is a Plyocide video, but that too is a lot of balance. So far I really love the program. I also really…
  • Mixing up workouts is extremely helpful - some resistance work a few days a week, maybe doing some kickboxing or plyometrics or biking or running a few days as well. I like p90X for that reason - you get a little of everything. I actually have little triangles starting to peak out of my triceps for the first time ever!
  • I actually don't listen to a ton of pop, but when working out I love it - Kelly Clarkson, Taio Cruz, Lady Gaga. I also enjoy some Pink and the Killers, a few Coldplay songs, some Gwen Stefani, Rihanna. It must be something about the beat.
  • I have done 1.5 rounds of Insanity and now am doing a Insanity/P90X hybrid. Insanity is extremely hard and you will see results. I only lost 3 lbs, but 17 inches as well and really did not watch what I ate as well as I should have. The diet guide is very helpful (although way overestimates caloric needs) as is a HR monitor…
  • Insanity is a crazy workout - it is high intensity training - very plyometric with lots of push-ups. Anyway, I lost 17 inches in 60 days doing it and it is HARD. It is produced by the same company that makes P90X, Brazil Butt Lift, Turbo Jam, etc.
  • If you are just thinking about a HRM for tracking calories, burned, then I would not do it. They are nice for that reason, but I think the real purpose should be used as a tool for exercise. I find that mine helps me push harder, but also no when to back off (as if being dizzy and nauseous isn't enough of a clue). I find…
  • Vegetarian times - lot's of variety on veggie recipes!
  • I like to mince up some almonds and coconut (unsweetened) and sometimes add a little molasses and then 1 tsp. of organic sugar. I find if you use the longer cooking oats, it is much less mushy and has more texture and nuttiness to it.
  • I am a vegetarian and have NO problems getting enough protein. As long as I eat eggs and nuts and a little cheese, I normally get more than enough. Also, lentils, beans, and my favorite, peanut butter are favorites. You could also get some powdered egg whites and add them to smoothies. With 1 cup yogurt and like 1/ 8 cup…
  • I am normally a 7am-11 pm person. However, I work 2 days a week as an ER nurse and that shift is from 2 pm to 2:30 am and most days I am up around 8 (so 6 hours before work). I tried to eat about 300 calories every 3-4 hours, so I sometimes do go over my calorie allotment. However, knowing my job, I also burn a lot more on…
