I can fluctuate by as much as 7lbs in a single day depending on what I have eaten, drunk, time of the month and the amount of exercise I have done. I don't worry unless the extra lbs stay on for more than about 3 days. So far, so good!

Cheers- that's exactly the kind of personal experience I was looking for. What about other body parts? I'd like to focus on toning my bum but will this happen there as well cause that would be heartbreaking and I'd rather leave it a bit jiggly as it is right now!
-
What kind of things? I already have good back and shoulder muscles from a lifetime of swimming and nowhere else has got saggy. I had also planned to start focussing on my bum but seeing what's happened with my stomach I don't think that's a good plan. So is everyone saying keep going or stop? I can't believe this has…

That's Henry Cavill from The Tudors. Pretty isn't he!

I don't think so. It seems weird that three weeks ago it was fine- no sagging at all- then I do ab classes- a lot of them- and it gets all saggy. If it is just skin then I'm screwed and might as well start putting the weight back on now.

I went through a stage of this which was absolute murder. Then I realised that my tops had an underarm seam which was causing all the problems. I now only wear cotton sleeveless tops (not running tops) with no seam there and I haven't had a problem since. Also, if it turns out the seams aren't the problem I'd recommend…

Lycra. Trousers. Also - try Lanacaine or something similar. I used to hate it - I always wore cycling shorts under skirts or other shorts to avoid the summer misery. Thankfully it's gone now but man I remember that. I really feel for you. Good luck!

I know - there were ring doughnuts around at work today and I thought about having one as a better choice than a jam doughnut. I checked it before I ate it (thankfully). 396 calories. For a freaking ring doughnut! Sheesh!

When I got fed up with myself for making excuses not to and fed up with defending my fitness level (which has always been good) by saying 'I know I'm fat but I am fit'. Sick of it. Enough. Started and won!

It happens sweetpea. Try not to focus on how far you've got to go and just get ready to start on, say, Monday. Get your crammings and cravings out of the way and start afresh on Monday. When you next step on that scale you'll be 7 - 10lbs down easy and all the bad feelings will disappear! Use it as motivation!

In terms of finding someone sexually attractive of course you judge people by their appearance - it's ridiculous to say otherwise. I absolutely adore some of my fantastic male friends who are kind, sweet, funny and clever but I would never sleep with them because their physical appearance doesn't set my heart racing.…

Still way too much negativity out there people! You're all beautiful (ok- maybe not you, but everyone else!). What about forearms? Wristbones? Shoulders- it doesn't have to be the obvious ones! Go take a look at yourself in the mirror and come back and try again!
-
Fantastic! You'll be doing 2 before you know it!

I'm 5'8 and 153 right now - I'm a UK size 10/12 at this weight. By wrist I seem to be a small frame but I absolutely don't believe that - I have broad shoulders and hips and my bones are already sticking out on both of them. There's still some jiggle I could stand to lose but I'm going with between 140 - 147 being perfect…

Yeah I think I'm going to have to do this but I still don't know why really skinny girls at my gym don't seem to have this problem. Maybe they have more padding on the side but a flatter butt?
-
For me it's kind of all about the body hair...I love a big hairy chest - you know, the kind of guy that is in shape but not defined (I really don't like 6 packs at all) - the kind of guy that would get really sweaty chopping lots of wood and then take his shirt off to show a lovely, hairy chest. Yum. Ahem. I'll be back…

I also have this problem when I'm on my side on a mat in the gym. It's really noticeably painful over just the hipbone area. My BMI is 23.2 or so and there's plenty of jiggle left in my *kitten* so I don't really understand why it's so bad. Thinner girls than me don't seem to have this problem. Anyone got any ideas?

I eat a lot of baked potatoes with bacon, onion, mushrooms, cheese, tuna etc. Although pasta is cheap I generally steer clear of it because I find it difficult not to make too much! I also do peppers stuffed with rice and tomatoes and anything else you have in the fridge. Same goes for mushrooms. I buy packs of chicken…

My best NSV came about a month ago when I looked in the mirror and thought 'do you know what, I'd do me!' Guess I know how every man feels now! (By which I mean that they always seem to think that when they look in the mirror...not that they all want to do me! (Sigh - Gerard Butler, I can only dream!) My…

I love you! I desperately miss General Tso's chicken - you can't get it ANYWHERE in the UK and I love it so much. It's always the first thing I get when I go to the States. Will totally try this!

The only time I don't log everything is when I get hammered and can't remember how many gin and tonics I had! Oh - I don't log my low cal non-aspartame fizzy drinks if they're less than 10cals per litre either - too much faff. I do put in tea and coffee because I live in the UK too and I seem to drink tea endlessly through…

I go for low calorie primarily and keep an eye on fat/sat fat and sodium. I don't pay much attention to carbs as I do an absolute ton of exercise and if I try to cut my carbs below 150 - 200 I can't put as much effort in with the exercise and that's no fun for me at all and slows my weight loss down. It really is different…

Ah-ha - then you should be wearing a 28E or a 30DD in my opinion. PLEASE trust me on this. I have always had big boobs (was a 36F now a 32DD) and been wrongly fitted for years until I went to Rigby & Peller and Bravissimo. It changed my life. I made my mum, all my sisters and all my bigger-busted friends go. It makes you…

34C is a totally normal size. You shouldn't have any problems getting sports bras from anywhere in the right size. If you're British then I'd recommend just going to M&S. They do a bunch of sports bras that are high impact (so suitable for running) and start from around £16. If you're in the US, Walmart should do something…

Thanks - that's what I've been thinking of doing (although I've not been able to put it so succinctly!) but I always worry that I'm going too easy on myself! Good plan though!
-
Because it's the only time my brain will switch off for long enough for me to get a rest. When it's good - it's so good. When it's bad it sucks from start to finish. But either way, the only thing I'm thinking about is nothing. It's pure nirvana for me!
-
Yo - representing from the South West. Don't know why I'm talking like that - sorry! Anyway - feel free to friend me as well - there's a fair few Brits around (although all the Americans let me indulge my 'hell yeah, you go girlfriend' side which, as you'll know, isn't exactly encouraged in the UK!). Good luck with…

Aw thanks! I'm not actually a size 8 - I generally wear a 12 but I'm starting to sneak into a 10. I didn't like to say to my colleague 'your size 8 jacket must be pretty stretched out' but hey, I'll take the NSV anyway!

 I reckon I'll stay. The calorie counter is fab and a useful tool to keep my eye on things. Plus if something starts to go wrong and I start putting on a bit of weight, I'm hoping MFP will help me figure out why (IT'S ALL THOSE CHICKEN WINGS!!!).
