  • Take all the breaks you need to. Remember it is better you do a few reps of each work out and complete the workout instead of stay with Shawn T and on do 1 30 second movement. That's the way I had to do it the first time I started (and quit unfortunently) before I was down the 15 lbs I am currently. Take a break after…
  • Stick with it man, we're all in this together!
  • I got one from REI that works really nice. It was about $100 and was a Polar FT7. Love it, counts calories, shows heart rate range, shows high and low heart rate over the whole work out and duration.
  • That's TERRIBLE advice...ALWAYS eat breakfast.
  • That sucks that those you work with won't help you. With that being the case you just have to be even stronger. Remember this, if you go from eating fast food 3 times a week and only cut that down to 2 times a week, that is still a considerable savings. Be proud about that! If you can keep that going for a month or so and…
  • Circuit training for me so far, but I'm only on Day 4 at the moment.
  • Multi-grain cherrios...I keep a box of them in my desk at work to fill in for breakfast if I don't have time to get something else. A cup is only 110 calories and really fills you up.
  • I'm finding the same thing, crazy sore the first couple days and it is now just starting to get better. Hopefully it will keep improving so that sitting into a chair and getting up again don't feel like I'm dying. Here's to hoping!
  • I ended up doing the same thing on the moving pushups yesterday. I was so tired by that point that I just couldn't get the coordination down. I was either not moving or was not actually doing push ups. Meh, I got a good number of push ups in so I was still happy. Been feeling the same thing every morning too. I wake up…
  • Day 4: Cardio Recovery today. (Actually thinking about skipping a day to get in line with you guys). Maybe 2 rest days at the end of the week. This was killer. So, so, so many lunges and squats and balance exercises. It is slower which was a nice change, and overall my body really enjoyed the "break," but my thighs were…
  • You did better than I, be proud! Keep at it.
  • Just to be fair, here are my scores from my Fit Test on Sunday. Switch Kicks 70 Power Jacks 30 Power Knees 45 Power Jumps 15 Globe Jumps 5 Suicide Jumps 8 Pushup Jacks 16 Low Plank Obliques 25 I think it is pretty easy to see where I got tired. Though overall not bad I think.
  • I started on the 15th with the Fit Test and just finished day 3 this morning. Ow. Really starting to feel it add up on my muscles, but in a good way. As soon as I hear Shawn T yell "Come on ya'll" when starting the workout, I know I can push through it (or hope at least :)). Started at 235 and can't wait until my first…
  • Was just looking for a thread like this to find some Insanity buddies. I started this Sunday and finished day 3 today. Used a HRM for the first time this morning and ended up burning 680 calories (a far cry from the 300 I put into MFP the first 2 days). This is my third time starting Insanity. My record being day 6 before…
  • I have the same issues. I love to run, but the ortho doctor told me that I have the start of osteoarthritis in both knees and not to expect to do much. Since I'm one to always listen to the doctor (sarcasm), I have been trying to run on and off for almost a year now only to have my knees start acting up eventually. At the…
