I was wondering if I was being a good friend today, and after reading this I wonder more. I have an issue with saying great work to someone everyday, as I feel it invalidates the sentiment. If you have a problem, I'll help. If you need advice, I'll give it. If you wanna look at my dairy, it's open. And every once and…

Also if you think about hot yoga, I think you burn a lot of calories in that compared to regular yoga.

Could be because when it is hot, your body needs to do more to thermoregulate.

In terms of weight loss, you can lose a lot of water weight in this instance. (EDIT: reread the original question. I was thinking in terms of heat).

That is a relative question. Depends on how fast you run and what your endurance is. If you are relatively new I'd say somewhere in the 6-7 mile area and maybe a 10-11min/mile. If you are more experienced I'd say 8-9 miles... You may also want to vary your weekly goals. Loosing a pound/ week when you are running up to 12…

I find pizza and beer can help you reach 1400 calories pretty easily. I do homemade pizza on my long run days. Also, I usually eat most of my calories back. I may be under by 100 or so, but I try to keep it pretty close. I don't have a HRM so I don't know how accurate my exercise number is but for 6 weeks, I can't…

Yaaho! Half way through my training for my upcoming half in July. This weekend was tough not only for being the middle, but also because I have finally started doing kendo again (Japanese fencing). Legs feel like jello, but the good kind of jello. This will be a nice warm up for my fall half.

That is a common problem, dealing with it myself for one of my active hobbies that I do. My suggestions would be looking at classes at your local rec center, or seeing if there are any community sports leagues you can join, like softball or something. Maybe some kind of group sport where it isn't too serious and fun. I…

LOLz.... While I like the sentiment of the original poster, I fear visceral reponses on topics people feel deeply about are a foregone conclusion. That and people in general had a tendency to be very imprecise when they talk/type resulting in literal and contextual meaning not being interpreted as the same.

Thanks for that. I won't disagree with the Paleo diet, but I do with the interpretation of its rational. Also calling lectins posions is an inaccurate oversimplification.

Also keep an eye on low fat stuff. Those foods tend to remove fat and replace it with salt.

Things like hotdogs and sausages also tend to have lots of sodium in them. Cheese is also bad for sodium, especially the more processed it is. Sugar is a debacle. I've always thought that listed sugars were simple ones, meaning fruits should count and at the end of the day glucose, fructose and galactose all get broken…
