I crunched the numbers just for a walking base for daily calories. On hilly or very long hikes, I figure at least 300+ more cals. :)

Thanks, everyone. I'll try to keep my cals more balanced, and maybe cycle based on activity.

I stopped weighing after 265lbs. Not sure how close 300lbs got, but 4x clothes were getting tight! Am now hanging between 115 and 120, which is fine for being 5'2.5", but I want more muscle so my weight will go back up a bit. Sorry for no embeded photo. Photobucket broke all my pics. :(…

@Pkov123 I guess I am an inverted wedge now, which is like a ruler, but with somewhat wider shoulders than hips.

Binge during milder depressions, but lose my appetite when deeply depressed or highly manic.

My size 12 shorts from the 80s are the same size as my 6/8s now. That said, my body shape is vastly different as all the sand in my hourglass went to my middle, so the shorts don't fit me quite the same. (Too tight in tum, loose in bum)
-
@fidangul Oh, my! That is terrible! *hugs*

@ryenday I used to have that hourglass figure as a young woman. Losing weight and going through menopause flipped the script, and I now have only an 8 inch difference between waist and hips. (Mind you, loose skin and residual fat are part of the problem. Also, my tushy fell down!) Highly tailored clothes always look great…

There is a theory that we burn more calories digesting protein. Maybe that ties in with your anecdotal evidence regarding being able to eat more clean foods? Alternatively, small portions of lower cal foods spread throughout the day feels like more food to me than a few higher cal meals, so I feel like I am eating more…

I'm a picky eater, too. I reset my taste buds by accident several years ago when I went to a camp that only served set meals, and you had to eat everything on your plate. (Seriously, those church kitchen grammies do not mess around!!) Anyway, I began to discover that I like more foods than I realized. Turns out I love…

@bringbackthejoy Hope you heal quickly! *hugs*

Thanks! I am trying. Some days are better than others, though.

Agree with folks who say shop local instead of at chains, for so many reasons!

Brilliant job!

@HealthyBodySickMind Happy anniversary!! :)

Thanks! I am charting this info against printouts of my weight trend. I still have so much fear of food and weight gain, and have an equal fear of being without food. I need to address those things, and trust that everything will be ok. I am going to try again to get my step count and food intake lower, because all the…

I can't use MFP as a neat system any more. My Fitbit is wacky, so causes me to gain then lose weight even though my net cals look spot on. I do still use it as a food log and just watch my gross cals. I assume it is rightish about my sedentary maintenance cals, but I am never sedentary so have never tested it.

We are both having that kind of week! Don't worry. It will be over soon and we can tighten back up until Valentine's Day! In the meantime, try to make an effort to _enjoy_ what you are eating. I find that is the worst of it. The mindless snatch-and-grab-full-on-Gollum compulsion, sucking down calories at warp speed and…

Truvia with pb2, dark cocoa powder, or both.

@lorrpb What a great gift idea! :)

I have learned that going into maintenance from a deficit can add 4lbs almost overnight. It's just water from sodium and glycogen, plus the food baby from eating a bit more. As long as it levels off and my clothes fit right, it's all good.

@sofchak I am so sorry that you were in an accident, but very glad you are ok! *hugs*
