Not a fan of it, but I get up at 4am to do my strength work. I spend an hour making breakfast and organizing for the day, work out, shower, and then head to school. I am much better about getting steps in after school, as it directly affects what and how much I get to eat in the evenings. Sad motivation, I know, but there…

I'm always looking for herb or spice combinations to jazz up my egg whites or veggies. :)

I have UC, though it's gotten better after kids and going through the change. More like IBS now. I have never been great at cutting out foods due to UC or GERD. Usually just down otc meds to deal with symptoms. (I am sure if I had a healthier emotional relationship with food, I would adjust my diet instead. Still making…

Bipolar 2, but have had auditory hallucinations. Was misdiagnosed as depression with general anxiety for decades. Mom died, and Cymbalta fir the depression threw me into an 8 day cycle. Finally got diagnosed when pdoc met me on a manic day. Am off meds right now. No doc due to insurance issues, no meds due to same plus…

Hiking rules!

I warm up with crab walks, bear crawls, and mountain runners. Then I do exercises with ankle weights and small hand weights, plus a lot of core exercises. Took a bad fall on the trail a couple of years ago because I didn't have the core strength to keep my balance, so planks are one way I am addressing this. I use a half…

Yep. There's a reason why I grab carbs before making ascents while hiking. "Fire hose" for the win!

I'll weigh in after a hike. If my weight is lower than usual at that time of day, I assume I am dehydrated and grab some water. I don't log my weight, tho. Just do that first thing each morning.

I am in the same boat. Stupid snatch and grabs after work.

I eat a bit every couple hours, then depending on my exercise during the day, eat more in the evening. (Unless I am hiking. I eat more because I need the fuel for the work I am putting into getting up and over those hills.) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/CoachJen71

Check your dashboard data against expected heart rates and burns. I have seen my Charge2 hrm say I was at 185bpm just walking at 3mph. Should have been way under half that. So it was saying I was burning 6 or 7 cals a minute instead of the more accurate 3 cals a minute. I have given up on using Fitbit and MFP as a NEAT…

I heard it as the rule of 3s: 3 minutes without air, 3 hours without shelter (when out in the elements,) 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food.

If at some point you experience cravings and binges, you'll know it's time.

Was your Fitbit accurate during your loss phase? If yes, trust it for a month and see what happens. For myself, mine was/is off by around 200-300 cals a day, which I determined from having to net under 1200 cals to lose weight, and because eating at expected maintenance caused me to gain weight beyond glycogen restoration.

I'm 5'2", 120ish, 46yo. 1300s sedentary, 1800-1900 for 20K steps on a work day when I am up at 4am, and 2400 or more if I hike at least 10 hilly miles.

Personally, I would switch.

Ingrid, I am so sorry you and your sweetie aren't doing well just now. *hugs*. I feel your binge pain. I have been shoveling food in lately, too.

Yes, but it's allergies causing me to lose my senses of smell and taste. :(

Helpful, but mine credits me a few hundred extra caks per day. I have learned from tracking my data how to match up my food intake to my step count. Lost 145lbs, and the Fitbit was very motivational despite it's inaccuracy.

I use this chart to keep tabs on my walking burn, since my Fitbit gives me too much credit. https://www.verywell.com/walking-calories-burned-by-miles-3887154

I am so very sorry. *hugs* I have not tried IVF, but I remember the despair, pain, and loss from some early miscarriages.

My Fitbit overestimates my burn by quite a bit. I go by steps instead and don't use my mfp as a NEAT system anymore. I figured it out when I had to net 900 cals a day to lose weight, and realized that when I checked my exercise data on Fitbit that it was often nearly doubling my calorie burn. 100cals for 15 minutes of…
