Hard to know what routine you have with not having your food diary set to open would be good.

Sounds good as I'm into healthy eating also but only add me if you have an open food diary please.

65 year ie 780 moths to get were you are NOW. It takes more than a month to get some where NEW!

For magnesium alternatve could be pepetas, spinach etc. Has fibre also which most supplements don't plus other nutrients that aren't contained in a purely magnesium supplement. IMO

Great plan! This the way to go. This what I believe in. Evolution not revolution!

I used to have 1/2 a bottle (or so) a day just to relax. You just want a glass but because the bottle is open and you don't want it to spoil you drink the rest. Luckily I have partner to share. I notice that my personality would deteriorate so what more aggressive and impatient- not a good example for the rest of the young…

I like the sound of this. I have an open dairy and I think works best this way.if you think it will work add me.

I achieve something a little similiar in taste by fermenting the oats by soaking with a few sultanas for 24hr and using a spoonful from the previous day for the that batch. Tastes a little sour and really good with some fruit on top. Produces acetic acid. A little bit addictive for me.

Do you eat potatoe? Fries? Just about everyone I know eats fries. I'm not suggesting your start by any means.

I eat a lot vegetarisn but not vegetarian. Love trying new things- yesterday I made felafel that tasted fantastic. You are welcome to add me. Cheers

What weight loss target per week in MFP? Are you having 3 to 5 meals a day? It would help if you made your dairy open but only if you feel comfortable. Many years of excess won't come off overnight it takes time. Get into a routine with realistic aims- you'll surprise yourself and be proud of what you can achieve!

Sugar is more addictive than Cocaine? These articles might put things into prospective and could assist your addiction. The below some points from Growing Human Kindness Article- 1/ Eating breakfast every morning 2/ Including fat and protein in your meals 3/ Eating regular meals (This is very calming and reassuring to the…

The book out by Dr Michael Mosley The 8 Week Blood Sugar Diet may be worth looking at. Make sure you involve your doctor with any plan. This might not suit you. If nothing else it could give you another insight.

Fibre is important. Work other areas of your diet as well by including beans (kidney, chick peas, bake bake beans) humus, felafels, whole foods like whole meal bread etc. Next when you see your doctor/nutritionist run it past him/her.

I'm really impressed you can be so motivated that you go to the gym at 2am. Your are probably tired and its hard to make good choices and to stay motivated as I would. Since you like your DVD routine so much, cut back on the gym as it sounds like your time poor. I agree entirely with rnelson88 evolution and not revolution.…

If you can grind you cheap low fat meat. A way better product then any high quality ground beef. Looks better, tastes better and lower fat.

Consider using oat bran instead of oatmeal- 50% higher fibre, 30% higher protein. Higher in all other nutrients like iron etc. 35% lower in calories. If you do try oat bran go say 50/50 with oat meal to start with.

Probably taste quite. Just go have a good look at the recipe first as it is quite energy dense- per serve 2 teaspoons of sugar and 15 mils of maple syrup plus teaspoon of butter. Recipe says cook for 7 hours. As an alternative soak When you have your breakfast make up the following for the next day. In a large breakfast…

"soda is a particular problem today for some" And fast becoming a majority. Drinking soda is probably just a sign of a sweet tooth that's becoming the norm. "I don't think anyone get the fast food for the sugar" Its the combination of the two fat and sugar. Why not offer a bottle of water-probably not a big seller. "people…

Sounds like the gym is for you IF it a good gym and convenient. Just remember however it takes up time travelling to and from plus say an hour including changing and if you become short of time attendance will suffer. Also not possible to whilst on holidays. As an alternative- If you just want to burn calories and tone up…

Sure there was a problem way back then in Elizabethan times. "Sugar was quite popular in that era."- Sugar was a luxury item for the noble folk and very expensive. "They were not over weight"- King Henry the VIII was no twig! "eat fast food daily" - isn't soda a part of fast food package. We all sound like sugar drug…

Impressive! Please share your diary so we can get an insight. I've noticed some foods in the data base are incomplete and only show carbohydrate and sugar is not listed. Also micro-nutrients aren't listed at all for so many foods.

Thats if you are living in the year 2005. That AHA article states 20 teaspoons ie 20x4=80 in 2005!

How long do you work out? How many times a week? What sort of workout?

If the tax doesn't have an impact then why does the American Beverage Association, the Corn Refiners Association, McDonald's Corporation and Burger King Holdings Inc spend a fortune on lobbists against the tax? http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2012-03-13/anti-obesity-soda-tax-fails-as-lobbyists-spend-millions-retail

Drink perhaps a 7 Eleven 64oz Big Gulp 186 grams. Just remember this is average per person and 1some people may have say less than half ie 100 grams/day while others might be double 400 gram/day. Actually might be higher if you assume babies and toddlies (I hope ) don't drink soda (unless your say Mexico that put it in…

Yep (as best I can read the figures) Hard to imagine or believe I know- approx 71kg/year (194gram/day) of refined sugar. see- http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=56589
-
If you can achieve 45 grams total your doing better than average american who has 200 grams of refined sugar. Just remember MFP addes up all sugars in food be it an capsicum, tomatoe or teaspoon of sugar

What nutritional balance is that? How to really improve your sugar addiction?
