  • I've done both as well...I do enjoy WW meetings, but the expense is out of control. I use my WW guidelines (ie. fruits and veggies are free within reason) and log the rest on MFP. I also did a comparison of both-points vs. calories and they are almost exactly the same. I find the community on MFP more welcoming and…
  • I make egg white muffins....Egg Beaters with some spinach, tomato, maybe a little cheese and what ever protein is left over from dinner the night before. I mix it all together, pour into a cupcake pan and bake for about 15-20 minutes. You can mix it up with extra/different veggies and proteins.
  • Perfect timing! I need some motivation! Please add me!
  • I'm of the other thought process.... I follow the weight watcher method of food tracking so I do not log fruits and veggies. That being said - I only eat one - maybe 2 servings of fruit a day and the same with veggies.
  • Hello all - I know I'm repeating myself but feel free to join the Autoimmune Club group on MFP or add me as a friend. I've been dealing with Chron's disease for over 30 years. Always a challenge and lately very difficult to lose.
  • Hello all! I posted in the thread earlier but wanted to let everyone know that there is a group on MFP called Autoimmune Club. I thought it might be easier for everyone to go to for support. I know I always have difficulty finding the older threads.
  • Because I have have difficulty find the threads that I enjoy, I just created an Autoimmune Club group. I thought it may make it easier to find each other again. :)
  • First - thanks for the starting this discussion. I've been dealing with Chron's disease for 30 years with Fibromyalgia for the past 2 and it's nice to have a place where people really understand what we go through. Both illnesses exhaust me and it gets to a point where my friends and family just don't want to hear about it…
  • I'm 5'3" - started in July at 196....down to 169 looking to get to 150. Tracking and walking for the most part but looking to start 5K training. Always looking for more friends, helpful advice and motivation.
  • Congrats on starting...I'm 6 months in with a starting weight of 196 and a current loss of 27 lbs. I'm looking to lose that last 10-15 lbs. Feel free to add me :)
  • I am now a size 10 petite....NEVER before did I fit in this size! I still have difficulty believing it to be true.
  • I agree! Between the health stresses and the holidays, I was somehow able to kept my weight gain to only 3 lbs! I am actually proud of that considering I ate so much junk food and barely exercised. It truly is the small victories that keep us moving!
  • Awesome job and Thank You for bringing my journey back into perspective...
  • Thanks all - some great suggestions....I love the idea of scheduling the workout time, whether I want to or not and also, just maintaining through the holiday season. I will probably do a combination of both. And as far as stress is concerned, most probably will not happen. But if even a small amount does, my life will…
  • I'm looking to drop my last 10 lbs over the next 6 weeks...I'm in!
  • I am not an early workout person either. It's a struggle for me to get up 40 minutes earlier, but some days it's just worth it. If it's an afternoon workout at home or gym, I bring clothes and change before I leave work. Getting into the workout clothes before I leave helps put my mind into workout mode and I'm much more…
  • I felt the same way....Just eating and sleeping and always tired. I started walking with a step tracker. I found that the daily goal challenged me. I was shocked at what a difference it made in my energy level. Taking that first step is always the hardest, but it feels so good. One day at a time, one step at a time. Good…

  • Do it for "Dam! You got hot" and then dump him....I had my finance tell me that he couldn't look at me because I was too heavy (at 135 lbs). I left. Now I have my guy who tells me that he loves my curves at any weight. It's about you. Not what other people think. Love yourself enough to know your true value.
  • Not a fan of the Herbalife or any similar diet. I do make a protein shake for breakfast each day on my own and I find that works just fine. And it's cheaper than Herbalife and the such. There are lost cost pre-made alternatives that you can find in the grocery store as well. I usually keep them around for emergencies...
  • Wearing a size large petite shirt and it's loose...Also bought a size medium dress this weekend. I haven't fit in either in over 20 years!
  • I usually hit the "Sync with MFP" on the garmin app. It has been working well for me. Does anyone know if Vivofit will give you calorie credit if you enter an exercise on MFP? I think I've been getting double credit for my workouts.
  • I've been using the garmin vivofit. It syncs with MFP and does the same as the fitbit - daily goal, calories burned, steps taken, etc. It does not record additional activities, like cycling or working out. I use MapMyFitness for the extras and then add them to the app. I love the challenge of meeting the daily goal.
  • I have the same issue....When I started I was losing 2 lbs a week for the first 6 weeks. Now it's a consistent 1 lb a week, but I dropped 2 clothing sizes. They tell me that muscle is heavier than fat and that's the reason for the slower loss. The body change and how you feel are the most important.
  • You can add me! :) I've been working with MFP for about 8 weeks....
  • Thanks for the info.....Do you know if Vivofit gives double credit when you enter an activity on MFP? I just checked under my activities and saw that it repeats what MFP tells me I earned. I just hope it doesn't "count" that on their site too.
  • Thanks for the feed back! I'll start today! :)
  • My definition of fat muscle is when you have that layer of fat over a nice muscle....I've seen it on some people - I guess it's when you stop working out and start gaining fat back.
  • Have you tried the chicken sausages? I have substituted them for the pork ones and think they're delicious! And they lessen the guilt that I'm not eating as healthy as I should be.
  • I have the vivo fit device and it doesn't give earned calories for extra exercise above walking. I have to enter and additional workouts directly into MFP for it to show those calories earned. It's my understanding that Fitbit works the same way.
