  • That's a great way to reframe your goals! And the refusal to buy new clothes is always a great motivator. I want to buy smaller clothes, not larger ones! When my work pants started to get a bit too tight after some vacations this summer, I realized I needed to get with the program. Dress slacks are expensive!
  • cher - All you need to do is convince yourself to walk through the doors of the gym! Tell yourself once you get there, if you still feel horrible, you can do a half assed workout and then go home. Chances are, you'll feel a lot more motivated once you're at the gym!
  • Unfortunately I don't do this nearly as often as I should - most of the time I crawl into bed way past my bedtime and wake up tired. My favorite things to do at night to wind down are: 1. Tidy up for 5 minutes. It's so much nicer waking up to a clean room, house, whatever, so I don't start the day with stress over mess. 2.…
  • Skipped a few days, but managed to squeeze in a 75 second forearm plank even after a pretty tough core workout at the gym. Back on track now, despite sore abs. Edited to say 75 seconds, not minutes! Stupid brain.

  • That's awesome! Glad you're seeing results and feeling positive about logging. It helps to have early victories. I've been successful too in that I've been tracking everything, and being very conscious about what I'm eating. But I haven't seen the weight come off yet. I think I'm retaining water due to the time of month, so…
  • Things have been crazy lately but I've stayed committed to logging everything, even if it is donuts or beer! I think today is day 11 in a row for me. I'm glad I'm logging daily, but it does have a downside. It makes me a bit sad when I just want to have one more beer, or a small snack, and I realize I've already reached my…

  • I do the same thing - log earlier in the day especially when I'm planning a splurge - it helps me stay within my goals. Tonight for example, we're going to a summer concert series at a brewery/winery and I'll be eating a charcuterie plate. So I logged everything in now, and when I'm eating I know where to draw the line…

  • I think I'm off by a day, as 8/29 is my Day 5. But I've been paying attention to what I'm eating and logging everything. I had some beer and pizza while helping a friend move, but logged it all anyway and enjoyed every sip/bite. So far I've done OK staying near my calorie goal, but I can identify where I'm having issues,…

  • I'm in! I'll be interested to hear the details too, but for now I can do a 1 minute plank followed by 30 second planks for the next few reps.
  • Perhaps a group would be a better place to have this challenge? Did you start one already? I saw the sticky post about how challenges like this should be groups instead, to allow for better posting/support over time.
  • Hi! I'm Jen. I just turned 28 on Sunday, so my goal is to log every day of my 28th year. I have a bad habit of staying on track for a month or two, going on vacation during the summer or to visit family during the winter holidays, and then skipping tracking for a month or two and undoing all the good I previously did. I'd…
