Carbs, Fat, Protein, Fibre and Sugar. I don't eat much processed or restaurant food, so I'm less concerned with sodium.

I love this idea - a breath of fresh air:) Thanks for being gutsy and putting yourself out there with this challenge!

Hello to you! I'm going to add everyone on this thread. Definitely looking to add motivated people to go on this journey with. I also have never reached out to a community when undertaking Project Weight-loss and I think it'll be a big reason that this time I am going to have successful and permanent change. Lets do this!

This!

Oh my God, what a jerk. I am so incredibly sorry that happened to you. I know that you logically understand that the guy is just some loser whose opinion shouldn't matter, but that probably doesn't make it hurt less. Hugs.

It's pretty much air! Side note: champagne and plain potato chips are a genius food pairing. Almost as good as the delicious celery and water combo I've got going on at the moment.

A show and a glass of Malbec sounds like the perfect thing right now!

I don't completely understand the question, but mmmmmmmmm wine. Do you have a certain number of fruit servings that you want to hit? I always savour red a bit more, and tend to guzzle white like water.

Lately my must haves are: Broccoli (I roast it and eat it by the plateful with a little grated parmesan) Lettuce Refried beans Flour tortillas Corn tortillas Full fat cheddar 1% cottage cheese Chicken breasts Salad toppers! A couple of victories from this week: I bought a food scale and I did all of my measurements for the first time. Getting serious about this health business is such a huge victory for me! And my mom said that my face looks thinner, "less puffy." She is right.

Anyone feel free to add me as well!
-
The only way: with maple syrup

I'm in that range as well and I invite anyone to add me:) What is helping me quite a bit is pre-planning my food the day before, so I know that if dinner is going to be larger, I cut back on lunch and breakfast calories etc. I am also feeling up with loads of water, and at lease one (sometimes both) of lunch and/or supper…

Great question! I've been pre-logging the next day, the evening before. During the day of, I do end up doing some switching, but generally I have been sticking to the plan. I find it is helping me to stay on track, big time.

Tomorrow is already planned. It's going to be 1% Cottage Cheese (with a T of Maple Syrup - I am a freak that way but it is SO good), also (not mixed in, that would be weird) fresh blueberries and some Canadian Bacon. Re: Canadian bacon. I don't know what it is called elsewhere - do folks in the US call it Canadian as well?…

This! Feel better soon!
-
That's funny - my Costco bill is ALWAYS $300, it doesn't seem to matter what I buy! :)

OP I drink around the same amount of water as you. I just feel so much better when I am super hydrated.

I love this - thank you so much! I'm looking forward to the time when great choices come naturally. But I also have pizza in my fridge that I haven't touched at all, so I guess it's coming!

For me, personally, low carb diets work well for weight loss and I do find myself less hungry in general (most likely because my blood sugar remains stable). Having said that, low carb (like others have said, no such thing as no carb), is not a reasonable long term lifestyle for me and I always end up gaining the weight…

I'm logging everything, cut way back on booze, and am eating loads of healthy salads. This is such an inspiring thread - thank you!

I totally hear you! I have gained and lost the same weight so many times now. This time is different though, I can feel it. I'm learning from past mistakes and losing differently. I have really consciously gone back and made some concrete changes this go around. For me, things I am doing differently are: - counting…
