I decided to start light like he said in the book. I found most of it easy enough going so will move up weight today. Squat: 11kg/24lbs seated row; not sure of the weight but four of those bars, don't know what they weigh. step up: 15kg/33lbs dumbbell shoulder press: 10kg/22lbs lat pulldown: 4 bars lunge: 15kg/33lbs

Cheers for the replies again. What size weights are you lifting Pixie if you don't mind me asking? And what did you start off with on day 1 NROLFW? I don;t really know what size weights to start with

Thanks for the replies. I'm a total beginner to weight lifting so really didn't have a clue. He wasn't even a gym based fitness instructor, he worked for a company that design fitness programmes for people and charges good money! I think I'll start on NROLFW next time I hit the gym. It might not help you lose weight exactly but it's great to get your system going in the morning I drink a cup of hot water and freshly squeezed lemon every morning and it's great for clearing out everything from the day before (if you know what i mean :tongue: )

Thanks. I went for about 800 calories just to be safe. A salad for starter and no dessert. Even with a couple of drink I was only 100 over, not too bad!

Yay well done. I haven't started the programme yet, am starting on monday but this is the part i'm most nervous about, trying to lift in front of all the big men! And they were staring at you! Well done for getting through it :-)

Thanks for your reply! So it's no longer necessary to drink the protein shakes after each workout like they say in the book? That's great, takes some pressure off. But are they still advising we eat 150g of protein a day?

I also would love friends with bed as I'm a sufferer too. I hadn't binged in a while then went on holidays and started just wth over eating the first couple of days then culminated in a major binge yesterday. i'M too ashamed to even log the calories :blushing: I really want to recover as well.
