Is fitbit not accurate then?
-
My dear, I weigh everything I eat and I try to overestimate rather than underestimate my calorie intake. I don't drink anything but water. I just don't get why I'm gaining fat.
-
I use a hrm to determine the calories burned in non-step workouts. I want to lose 60lbs so I want to lose 2lbs per week. I was doing fine when active but now I'm not so active with just daily workouts, I can't seem to eat 1800+ calories. I still burn a lot according to the fitbit at the end of each day so it doesn't make…

I calculated that and it says that my BMR is 1,579 calories. I feel like I have gained fat and not water because I feel fat and when I measured my body fat % it had also increased. To be honest, I'm just going to go back to WW because all this calorie counting is just too much headache.
-
But, my BMR is 1750. I can't eat 1600 calories as that would be lower than my BMR. I burn 2500 calories some days with exercise. My TDEE without exercise is 2184. So what should I do?
-
Wow! great job!
-
Brilliant. I look forward to every month seeing your progress. You've come so far. Well done.
-
I do WW as well. With the amount of points I'm on, it's about 1300 calories. i eat a lot of fruits & vegs to take it up to 1600-1900 calories. I should be eating even more with the exercises I do, but I get so full up. At 1000 calories, no wonder you are hungry. And let me tell you, your weightloss will slow down…

On Saturdays, if I wake up early, I go to Bodypump class and hen Zumba afterwards

Lol! I was so not interested in opening this thread when I read the title. But, I decided on a whim to open it and soooo funny. Yeah I might just try this special diet too.
-
I calculated my TDEE and BMR with scooby calculator. It worked out that my TDEE-20% is lower than my BMR. My TDEE-20% is 1725 whereas my BMR is 1796. My TDEE at my ideal weight is 1700. So either way I'm eating below my BMR.
-
I've calculated my TDEE when I'm sedentary at my ideal weight and I'm going to eat that number of calories and see if I lose weight.
-
Thanks all. It's so much clearer now! Can I log Zumba or body jam classes
-
I did the scoobydoo tdee calculation and it gave me tdee of 2156 which is similar to my fitbit. Why is the carb automatically 30% How much is it in mpf?
-
I thought they were both synced to each other. Also, on the fitbit app, it says I need to get 10,000 steps, 10 floors, 5mile distance, 2,184 calories burned and 30 minutes of exercise per day. So is the 2,184 not my TDEE?
-
My WW leader tells me that just because it's 0 points doesn't mean you eat it to ridiculous amounts. Basically, the fruits & vegs are 0 points so that you eat them rather than snacking on junk. In fact now I'm doing filling & healthy which involves no counting of points in WW. I'm loving it so far. It keeps me full and…
-
I would use a hrm to determine how much you burned. Then you input it into mfp and they'll you how much to eat

Get a heart rate monitor
-
I don't see it that way. She's just someone showing that there's many ways to lose weight, not just counting calories. If you ate well and listened to your body to know when you are full, you will lose weight. She didn't say counting calories was a bad thing. It just wasn't for her. Grow up people!!
-
yeah when I lost weight, I lost a shoe size.
-
Oh right. MFP basically calculates you deficit to attain your weight loss goal. Thanks for the explanation.
-
Your before is basically where I was at before I decided to mess up my metabolism by going on various diets (including starvation, low carb etc). I wish I had done what you did and used common sense to lose the weight gradually and sensibly. Now I have 80lbs to lose to get to were I was in high school. Or getting to 20-25%…

So do you use the One to work out your steps and the your heart rate monitor to monitor the exercises that you do? Also, what HRM do you use? And how many steps do you do per day? And also, does the One work out all the required calorie intake in order to lose either 1 or 2 pounds per week?

if nothing else works, anti-depressants such as TCAs can be prescribed for IBD. Just saying.
-
Any updates on those who've tried this diet plan? And if so, is it a low carb diet? I'm not into low carb diets.
