I hear that breast feeding helps you loose weight considerably faster. However I don't know that gaining a huge amount of weight is necessary. I'm over that "my back side has to gain equally or I'll fall over thing. . However if we're talking about my ex-wife she's only on about 18 years.

Both the heart rate monitor and fitness apps are great. If you can spend the money Garmin makes a GPS enabled heart rate monitor with a chest strap. It will do both at once.

kind of sounds like a pick up line. I do know that having a protein shake after working out helps keep my muscles from being sore afterward. Will early morning protein help you loose weight? I can't say for sure on that one. Perhaps increased energy?

You'll do fine. I can understand some of where you're coming from. When I gained weight I felt I had failed myself and that everyone who saw me could see my failure and shame. Part of moving forward was being willing to show off my progress, determination, and success. I hope some of us here have helped you with yours.
