Something I do is log my drinks at the beginning of the day. Example: If I am going to a cook out on a Saturday, and I plan on having some drinks (4 beers), I log them in the morning. I know for me, it is all about my core. I try to spend 10-15 min 5 days a week doing a few exercises that work on my middle. Ab stuff, side stuff, back stuff. If I don't, my back gets sore within a day or two. This is because of the extra weight I am carrying in my belly (beer belly). This site is helping to shrink it!

Biggest Loser shows always talk about snacking, so that way you don't have a biggest meal. My meals are about the same when I stay on track.

The best advise I can give is to actually register for a 5k in your area. That will also keep you on track. It is tough, but a race will also probably give you your best time ever due to adrenaline. I ran my first 2 years ago, and beat my training times by 2 mins. Good luck!

You will feel awesome if you reach the goal of running a 5k. I ran my first 2 years ago. I have run a couple since. I have even run a Warrior Dash (google it)! It is tough, but I love the feeling after I finish.

I am not really that big (6'"1 219pounds), but I can relate. The weather has allowed me to run outside again, and the past 2 weeks were tough.
