Awesome! You look fantastic. You can really see more definition in your hips and thighs.

Workout clothes - massage(s) - regular clothes. Definitely workout clothes - it's not fun to work out and have to hike up your pants at the same time! LOL massage - I get one every month. My husband was actually the one who insisted I do it because of how often I exercise. Regular clothes - because you don't want to wear…

No idea. I was so hooked on chocolate bars for SO long and then decided I just couldn't eat them anymore (along with changing my eating habits entirely, lol). I did have a bite of a dark chocolate bar with some strawberries last week, though. Yum.

I've lost more than my 7 year old weighs (she's probably... 45 pounds now, haven't weighed her in a long time, LOL). THAT astounds me!

I have an app called Runtastic Push Up and use that every other day or so to help me do push ups. It'll show you videos on proper form. A friend of mine gave me a piece of advice - before he left for boot camp for the Navy several years ago he could not do a real push up. He started with doing wall push ups, then "girl"…

Just keep working on it! 30 day shred is great, I've been doing that too. Try push ups too. They can be hard but they are very good for strengthening your core which in turn will help in toning the midsection. I'm working hard on mine too. Good luck :)

LOL! A long time ago... in a galaxy far far away (or something) I did have a GREAT hourglass figure. I'm working to at least sort of get it back but my midsection is a pretty tough customer.
-
thank you! I am working very hard on getting my hourglass back.

Good ideas. Thank you! I am going shopping tomorrow *crosses fingers* hope I find some flattering stuff :)

Abdominal twists! That's awesome, I'm going to go look that up right now :). Brenda - strength training is definitely necessary! :)

Thank you for sharing!!

I would definitely take pictures!! I think it'll help keep you motivated. :)

I am not giving myself a timeline because for me, I feel it would set me up for failure or feeling like a failure. To date I've lost 47 pounds. I was 230 (now 183). I would like to be about 150. :)

You look amazing and you are absolutely right, it's something ANYONE can do! High five!

I don't know how much this will help. I have had two kids. I gained a lot with my first, and yo-yo'd with weight between her and my second one (3 years 8 months apart). After my second one, lost a lot of weight, then gained it all back + more. So, my skin has been stretched quite a bit. I have lost 47 pounds over the past…

Awesome! I can't wait to see mine again. Almost there! Good to know it comes back :)
-
thanks! it's definitely slow going... sigh

My husband! lol. He would burn it off pretty quickly, I swear he can eat anything in any amount and doesn't gain weight!

Depends on where I am/what I am doing. If it's a planned grocery trip, Safeway is my best bet. Foodmaxx and Raley's are nearby but generally run about the same prices, same with Lucky - but I don't like the Lucky here, it's pretty cramped. I like shopping at Trader Joe's sometimes... but yeah, my mainstay is Safeway.

Okay, this is a before and during. I have lost a lot (47lbs since last June!) but I am still working hard to lose MORE! I began at 230 pounds and a size 20. I am now 183 pounds and a size 14. I have no pictures of myself from size 20. I wouldn't let anyone take pictures of me. The closest one to that is a size 18...ish. I…

Amy - I also gained more after my daughters were born! Well - with my youngest, I nursed her for 14 months so I ate basically whatever I wanted and lost weight (I got to about 187lbs, 215 the day she was born) I figured it was being burned off anyway. When she stopped nursing... I kept eating the same and gained all of it…

I tried on a really cute empire waist shirt at target the other day and... it was bad! LOL. Super cute on the hanger but not flattering on me in the least!

Becca, that is truly wonderful! All of it. :) It can be such a struggle to lose weight/change your life (re: alcoholism - my husband went through a period of time where he may as well have just had an IV drip of alcohol...) and it's often pretty hard to do it alone. Glad all of us apples are in this together! ;)

Hi Nikki!! A 4 from a 16, that's inspiring!! Awesome reading everyone's intro posts :D

Hi Becca! My daughter's name is Rebecca :) heehee. Congrats on losing 13 pounds since February! That is wonderful! It'll come off. :) My tummy has been the most frustrating area. I have not always been apple shaped, I was pretty hourglass shaped up until I had my first daughter (7 years ago). I'm excited too! Sometimes I…

I have been doing cardio - elliptical, treadmill, bike, or running outside - since November and lifting weights regularly. Nothing heavy. I discovered through reading that lower weight with higher repetitions is better for muscle (when one is dealing with a lot of fat which I was). With my belly, it's a struggle. It's…

Yay! Thanks for the invite and glad to be here :)

I am with Amy! I just bought a pair of a.n.a. from JCPenney the other day and I am in love. I can't wear low rise because 1. my "mommy" belly - it's getting better but I don't like having a muffin top and 2. they fall down all day. But, I also don't like the high high rise jeans because ...well, they're uncomfortable and…

Lys - in my profile picture(s) I have a picture from when I was 230lbs. I'm now 183 pounds :). Hope that helps!
