  • Thanks guys I do a 60 minute combat class on a thursday night and totally agree with you...it's great! Good for stress relief too! lol
  • It's a great workout! At 143lbs, I typically burn around 350 calories (HRM) for each work out - sometimes more if I really push myself. Still has 1 ab/strength circuit but the rest is mainly cardio. There are 2 kick-boxing style circuits too to mix it up
  • It's the classes that I find good fun at this time of year.....newbies generally stick to the back - but inevitably one will come further forward and nick a space that's been 'yours' for that particular class all year - that throws me off. However, I just try to make sure I'm early to the class so this isn't an issue…
  • Hi! Feel free to add me....I live in Essex and work in London :) I'm up to the last 14lbs of my journey but have lost almost 60lbs since I started losing weight Good luck :)
  • Knightsbridge and South Kensington are lovely but you will run into pricey territory - not just the hotel but restaurants in the surrounding area (Chelsea/Brompton Road - Harrods etc). You can pretty much stay anywhere in central London and get about easily with an Oyster - ether by tube or bus. in terms of budget and…
  • I feel your pain I don't get bloated every day but recently, on 2 occasions, I have gained 2 dress sizes over night. Not only do I look pregnant but I bloat on my legs too. I'm off to the doctors after Christmas for some tests but it's definitely frustrating
  • Im in!
  • Done :)
  • I have to eat after 7pm else I'd never be able to have dinner! I leave for work at 7am and back at 7pm, then work-out, then have dinner at around 9
  • I will start by saying you will be fine. In answer to your questions... Once booked in, I can usually just go straight to the class. If you get there about 10 minutes before and people are moving around, it will be the previous class. If it's empty you can usually go in. There will often be people waiting outside if there…
  • As said - it really does vary from person to person. For me (5'4" female, 140lbs), I burn approx: Body Combat - 440 per hour Body Pump - 260 per hour Body Attack - 440 per hour Sometimes it's higher, sometimes lower - all depends how much I'm putting into it
  • I burn (with a HRM) 460 calories in a 50 min spin class then 130 on the eliptical for 15 mins. I'm 5"4 and weigh 143.8lbs - so 590 total. Hope that helps
  • Good luck! I'm doing my first on 13th!

  • If I don't exercise, I turn into a monster! I get so irritable and miserable! I dont go every day though - Tuesdays and Thursdays/Fridays are my days off (alternate Thurs and Fridays)
  • Thanks all. Glad I can be an inspiration. It has all be down to diet and exercise - there is no magic solution (unfortunately). I changed my hair as I had always been big and blonde - so I changed to get rid of the reminder Now I am just hoping I can shift those last bothersome pounds!!!! Wish me luck
  • Unfortunately, I didn't take starting stats - but after a month, I took measurements which were Chest: 40 inches Waist: 31 inches Hips: 45 inches Im now Chest: 35 inches Waist: 26.5 inches Hips: 40.5 inches Trying to work on the hip part now - just to shave a couple more inches off
  • Thanks for all the comments (i also adore the dress) - its a place called celebboutique.com I'm 5'4" and still have a few more pounds to shift but overall, its taken 3 years as I lost and put on again. Ive been maintaing between 142 and 146 lbs for a while now and I now think its time to tackle this last bit
  • Thank you! Me and technology not working
  • Anyone know how you can show images?
  • Can you add me? For some reason it won't let me find you :)
  • I love Body Combat and attack! Great workouts!!! Also just developing a love for spinning! Ive heard good things about the FT4 - think that will be the best bet
  • Great! Thanks all! I have got a HRM but it is so temperamental and will drop below 80 bpm often - leading to annoying beeping! Need to save for a better one My goal currently is to get down to 135lbs and see how I feel when I get there - trying to get it done in bite size chunks
  • I find Pilates DVDs that have a focus on abdominals are good - you can definitely fel them working but no cardio
  • I normally go for a vodka and diet coke - about 55 cals for a single measure
  • I go to Boux Avenue now - they have a fab range and good sizes
