That was sort of my feelings on it. I would be more likely to pay attention and keep to it to avoid side effects. Did it cause anyone any of the side effects, your fault or not? :blushing:

Ok, I'm back. I no longer have the will power for Atkins, Apparently. I just can't do that right now. I gained back 5 lbs, so I am not waiting to gain 10.:cry: I am back on low cal, low fat, moderate carbs. I can't seem to stay away from the carbs this time round. And the low cal approach gave me so many more options.…

That is a great idea! My scale has betrayed me too by being stuck on one spot for months. finally it moved and then STUCK THERE FOR A MONTH! But I just went back on Atkins 2 weeks ago and it has finally moved! Only a couple of pounds but enough to make me happy! Keep up the good work and good luck.

I won't miss being too depressed to look in the mirror. Being more depressed AFTER I look in the mirror. Looking for clothes that don't have a waistline. Looking in the PLUS section. Having to wear "Old Lady" clothes because nothing else is my size. Having to lean in to hug because my middle is to big. I could go on.,

I was eating the Pringle Light chips 15 chips only usually only once a day every other day or so with meals and I noticed i was so bloated and my stomach cramped and growled alot, to the point of discomfort most of the day. I think that has to be the culprit. I will have to cut that out, it is not worth it.

Well, I did read Banks explanation and I understand all of it about starvation mode and metabolism changes but I still don't really understand how I can eat as many calories as I burn off....and I see that it is built in to my calculations and all but it scares me to assume I can eat all that and not gain weight..I still…

I have never been more confused...except when trying to talk to my teenage daughter ...No, I printed this so I could get a handle on it... It is just so hard to eat the calories I think I am supposed to burn off...I'll try, but if I weigh 15 lbs more in 2 months than I do now...Banks, you are toast.

Uh Oh, I am up 2 lbs. I have been staying under my calorie count, low fat. I have been exercising about every other day and was down 3 -4 lbs, now I am back on the other side of the 150 mark. @#$$^^!!!! Should I go back to Atkins and see if this might have jump started my metabolism??? Pooh.:grumble:

I changed my total calories to 1000 so I would not see so many calories available to me each day. I realized as long as I thought I could eat so many...I would, whether I wanted them or not. I know I am playing games with my head but it may work. :wink:

Thanks for your input. That is about what I thought. I have been on induction basically for the whole time and it has been easy most of the time, but I am getting so tired of the same stuff and I never really put back any fruits, grains, etc. so the change will be good. I haven't found the calorie reduction any more…

I am coming off Atkins for a while. I lost 50 lbs in the last year but have been stalled at 150 for several months. I am trying to go to something else but I don't know what will happen when I put carbs back in. I am just trying to stay on low glycemic index foods and lower calories/fat. Any ideas? :flowerforyou:
