I'm 6'0 and my goal is 165-170. When I get above 175, I get uncomfortable and below 160 I look sick.

I read lots of success stories but have never responded--this is simply a great testimony to health! Thank you for sharing your journey and your joy.

I'm 6'0 and I'm doing 1500-1800 depending on my exercise each day. Age 41, weight 173.

That is probably what officially catapulted me into this forum a year and a half ago. I felt I was definitely losing the battle and didn't want to lose the war. So, I can honestly say this place helped me turn things around and I am 30lbs lighter and much more active and feel great. So, welcome and know that this is a huge…

I've been doing it for about three weeks now (one week at level 1 and then two at level 2). I love it! My calves were very sore after the first few workouts even though I run four or five miles a day. I think this program has really heped me strengthen my abs and hips and I'm setting new records in my personal running…

I use the Polar FT40 and love it. I just upgraded to a fancy runner's watch (Garmin 405) and I am in techie watch heaven.

Me too......love running in the rain. I just hate when the lightening disrupts my party! :noway:

I run about four miles a day and can't always get out in the morning. Here in LA (lower Alabama) it gets quite warm. I bought one of those hikers backpacks that holds water so I can have my hydration source with me. I also take along a handkerchief that is wet--it sure does feel cool for wiping my face. I also have found…

I'm on my second week of it and just started Level II middle of last week. It is a workout indeed. I usually jog/run four miles a day and then do the shred in the evenings. Once I got past the soreness, I feel like it is a great way for me to round out my running with some strength training and toning. I do feel my body is…

I'll also chime in and say that I love my Asics--GT 2140 is a great shoe with good cushioning and stability too.

Hi, I run about four to seven miles a day and struggle with the same issue. I've been going to physical therapy with a PT and she really put me in touch with how weak my hips and buttocks really were. I do a bit of strength training now every night to strengthen my hips and buttocks (several suggestions for core exercises…

I have the Polar FT40 and the Reebox Precision XT. I love them both--I gave hubby the Reebok and kept the cute green Polar for me--I found that both do a good job and provide good info.

I've noticed that mine gives weird readings if I don't have the chest strap on right. To turn off the heart rate feature, I just change the mode back to "Time" and it stops. Perhaps if you take it out of the Chrono mode it will quit.?

Just got mine today--it was ordered on 3/18 and got here today 3/26 but I opted for the slow shipping. Yes, Fed Ex is the main carrier and then turns it over to USPS so it is kind of slow. But, for the price, you can't beat it. thanks for the recommendation!

:drinker: I did five miles today and will shoot for seven tomorrow. This from a woman who couldn't run a mile in high school. I've been a walker for over fifteen years but have fallen in love with running. Way to go fellow runners!

You are so inspiring! And, I second what others said--you look so much younger and so vibrant. Way to go!

I'm curious to see the answers to this one. I struggle with knee pain on and off. I've been a daily walker since I was about 16 (now 37). But, I've taken up jogging in the last six months and I've noticed the increase in knee pain. I tried new shoes (for stability and overpronation) and they helped some. But, on a muggy,…

I was never able to run a mile in high school. Well, yesterday I went out and timed myself and the first time I did it in 10:10 and then 9:50. I'm 37 and I do believe this is the first time I have consistently been able to run a mile. Whoo hooo!

Me too on the butter spray! My family thinks I am nuts but I have been doing this for years. Yummy!

Thanks! I appreciate all of your summations.:drinker:

I'm on a mission to lose 20lbs and this place has been a great inspiration. Just thought I would say hello. I am 37 yrs old and mother to a 2.5 year old named Gabe. I lost 100lbs when I was 16yrs old and have maintained a healthy lifestyle since then (except during pregnancies!) As I round the bend on 40, I am finding my…
