Lol learn to read the entire thread because I have stated at least twice that I don't eat 1370 calories...

Runkeeper is good

It sure is lol
-
Lol I'm sure but I don't get the SC reference at all. You didn't look like SC
-
But SS is slightly different right?

Powerlifting will never be my focus
-
That actually works
-
I just saw this one the other day, that looks like a good program but its more time consuming
-
Thanks lishie. I think when I can I'll do 5x5 and when I'm in a time crunch I'll do 3x5. I'll keep eating 1,800+ on days I lift.
-
I think people get too caught up on the 1370 and not realize that I'm not actually eating that little... I can totally survive on 1500 a day without exercise if I wanted to but looking at my last 30 days(not counting my birthday and today) I'm averaging about 1826 actually consumed calories per day.
-
Yeah I get that but how do you find the right balance? I'm fine lifting weights if I can still lose weight. I was getting up at 4:30 to get to the gym by 5 to lift, I have to be home by 6:30 cause that's when the wife leaves for work. I can go on a walk at lunch time to get my cardio in. Its the weekends that are more of a…

Reading the post about tdee and BMR in that group that is basically what I said I could do in an earlier post. Have a set calorie goal and don't eat back exercise calories (what they recommend) or follow mfp and eat back the calories. In the end its basically a wash.
-
Why do certain posts have a lock/gate in front? I can't read one of the responses.

Yeah once I'm in maintenance phase, ill worry about building strength, all I know is I'll never want to be one of those guys who live to lift and has huge muscles. Nothing wrong with those guys, just isn't me. Thanks
-
Supposedly lifting heavy helps, there is a thread somewhere about it I believe
-
Basically yes. I don't care how much I can press, or squat, or even deadlift. Being fat all my life. I just want to be a healthy weight, close to the bmi range as I can (my range is unobtainable IMO)
-
that's the thing, I'm not trying to gain strength or muscle. I'm trying to get skinny and tighten my lose skin.
-
But I don't eat 1370 calories a day, I eat between 1700 to 1900 a day. If I set my.calorie goal for 1900 a day, I'd still be doing the exact same thing I'm doing now except I wouldn't be eating my exercise calories back. So it's A. Set calorie goal at what myp says it should be and eat my exercise calories back B. Enter…

Maybe I shouldn't be lifting at all right now. I've got 25 to 35lbs (would prefer 35) more to go before the end of may.
-
Thanks for your input. But I'm not asking advice about my diet.
-
You should lose a max of 1% of your body weight. For me that's 2.08 lbs a week. I only started lifting weight cause people told me doing cardio only is causing me to lose muscle mass, I don't really care about bulking, I just want to tone/lose fat/tighten skin. I'm perfectly happy jogging/walking 7 days a week but I don't…
-
Well, to be honest I'd be doing the cardio anyway even if my calorie goal was 2000, but if it was 2k I wouldn't be eating the exercise calories back.
-
Right but all the experts say 1 to 2lbs a week isn't aggressive.
-
Why?
-
You look like Daniel Craig James bond on the right lol
-
I try to get cardio in because my calorie goal to lose 2lbs a week is low is 1370, so I like to burn calories so I can eat more. I get that number based off mfp and I know its accurate because for 2 weeks I ignored that number and went 1500 instead and my weight loss was 1lb in both of those 2 weeks. Weight lifting doesn't…
-
I can eat less but then I'm still hungry, I've lost almost 90lbs without being hungry so don't really feel like I should start being hungry now. Not to mention I have to increase my protein intake when lifting and added protein adds more calories And SL is a 5x5 program To the other suggestion, I'll look into that ice…

I just saw something on chopped Canada that I wish I had eaten Beavertail pastry. That looks yummy. For my birthday I ate a raspberry red velvet cake with cream cheese ice cream. Omg so good
