Just curious about the people that are unable to exercise due to disabilities. I have a painful disability that limits my being able to exercise, but I used to love it so much. I still walk on occasion. I say if people want to work out super, if they don't want to, super! Who cares it is not your life. So lets just be…

When I started MFP I had about 85 pounds to lose. I am down 14 pounds. Congrats on your 4 pounds lost! After my many and failed attempts to lose weight what has helped me is taking things one day at a time, one pound at a time and a lot of forgiveness (to yourself) Make obtainable goals so you don't get overwhelmed and…

I still drink Diet Coke. I love it! But, I cut back to one a day (if that) I used to drink a 6 pack a day. I found that the Diet Coke made me crave sweets more, maybe it was mental I don't know. But when I really want a Diet Coke I have one. Moderation, but I agree that it is not good for you, but then again there is not a…

How about you just let her be? Sounds like she is already having issues with her appearance and that is just sad. Who cares, its ice cream and from the sounds of it you have her eating pretty well. I think there is more to the story, how about raising her to love who she is inside and out, build her confidence. Poor girl.

Let me tell you something that is even worse then the chocolate you ate, that is being so hard on yourself. You are human, you will not be perfect. I say this because I have been there too many times to count. I have learned that I am allowed to eat chocolates and not feel bad, I just have to do everything moderation. You…

If they haven't logged on for a while, or if they are not supportive in any way. I mean really, what is the point for you to have friends on MFP if there is not any communication, no encouragement, or even constructive criticism. I just don't get it. I have a great group of friends now that are great supporters.

Sedentary If you’re sedentary, your daily activities include: Activities of daily living only, such as shopping, cleaning, watering plants, taking out the trash, walking the dog, mowing the lawn and gardening. No moderate of vigorous activities. Unless you do at least 30 minutes per day of intentional exercise, you are…

I am not strong enough to have cheat days - as they will turn into cheat months or years. But, when I am ready to have cheat days I will log them not only because of pure habit but because I want to know how devastating that cheat day was and maybe not need one. ~~Ya right.

You are not alone. I am 5'7" sw: 238 cw: 227 gw: 145. You can do this. I have to constantly remind myself "What doesn't challenge me, wont change me" Being overweight has depressed me, and took over my life I had to make the decision that it is NOT going to be easy but it will be worth it. I have a long way to go still,…

"What doesn't challenge you wont change you" I know how you feel! I believe a lot of people understand. Just take steps in the right direction, don't look at the "END" results and how long it will take and how much it will suck. Just wake up and start, one day at a time. Good luck!!
