  • Such inspiration, i'm starting today 30lb to go by the end of summer hopefully
  • Thank you for your comment, it took me around 14months to reach my goal. What really helped me was logging my food diary daily, which I left open to friends. Cutting processed sugar out, trying to keep within my macros, going to the gym 3x per week and lifting weights has made a huge change to my shape. Best of luck keep…
  • 49lb from 175lb to 126lb, I lost a little weight before joining mfp, the before pic was taken two years ago and the now pic taken today.
  • Just after two weeks, my clothes were looser, I felt less bloated. My husband noticed and I didn't tell him I was dieting, probably less noticeable to anyone else at the time. I realised it didn't take long to see the effects so that kept me going.
  • Your waist measurement isn't that bad for your weight, everyone will carry it differently. At my heavest I was 12.5st 5'8 and a uk size 14 but my waist measurement was 34" personally was overweight, I looked overweight, podgy around the waist and upper arms but worst of all my health suffered. I'm now 3st lighter and it…
  • What worked for me was forming new habits with food and drink, try alternatives you wouldn't normally try, preparing your own food and drink allows you to control what is in your food, over time your taste adapts to a healthier diet and high sugar foods and drink will seem too sweet. I recommend daily logging your food and…
  • Try and ween yourself off the sugar in the tea, weighing your food portions, try varying your diet to see what works for you for example if bread bloats you then try substituting it for something else like some extra protein such as lean mean or fish, some people find that diary alternatives help as well.
  • I've lost 4" off my thighs they are now 18" and calf are 12". I'm 5'8 and 132lb my legs are long inside leg 32"
  • Try and change your perspective, when looking for a partner, are they good enough for you? no one wants someone to marry them based on the way they look but for who you are and to grow old with. Maybe start treating your body more kindly by eating healthier, excercising to feel good and in time you will see the postive…
  • before I started, yes but now during my journey I'm happy to tell anyone how much I've lost and I'm proud to be on my way to a fitter and healthier me.
  • Its been 12 months for me too, i've lost 28lb, this time last year I was 168lb and i'm now 140lb, I know its not a hugh weight loss and at times i wish I had done better and I still have around 10lb to lose for my 'goal' but I think back to last year when I felt overweight, sluggish and bloated I feel so much better within…
  • Same here, trying to lose 10lb (already lost 28lb) keep going! you've done well. log everything you eat, drink plenty of green tea and water between meals.
  • I felt the same at first before I started weight loss, felt so ashamed of myself didn't want to admit to myself let alone others how much I weighed but once you get going it doesn't seem so bad when people start to notice the weight dropping off it'll all be worth it. Feel free to add me
  • Hello - Fed up with my bingo wings too they've got to go! lets hope we can wave slim arms soon. x
  • Same here I joined last year but didn't do anything, a year later i'm still 2 stone overweight and really need to do something about it! so far I have logged in everyday for 5 days and have kept within my calorie limit. Good luck.
