  • Not really, depends on the type of weight training. There are multiple studies that show appropriate weight training for weight loss burns more calories and is more effective than the same amount and intensity of Cardio. There is more 'after burn' Also the more muscle you have the more calories you burn throughout the day.

If a US food label…

  • Incorrect, it does matter when we eat if we want to optomise weight lose, well being, physical performance etc. There are multiple scientific papers that prove this to be the case. The only thing that is a myth is you can't lose weight if you eat just before sleep. When we eat it affects your blood, liver and muscle…
  • Wow, its not a simple as people are making out, as with most things people say are myths there is some truth in it. i.e The advice not to eat too much late in the evenings before sleep. The only thing that really is a myth is the hard and fast 6 pm it depends on your daily routine and the combination of macros (Fat,…

  • Although it takes about 2 hours to deplete the glycogen stored in your liver and muscles, so it doesn't make much difference, unless you also worked out after dinner and before breakfast or are doing a very long CV session I train every morning before breakfast but that is more a time restraint and comfort thing (its hard…
  • No. Do worry it won't drop anyway near that low (28bpm) even if you loose more weight and become extremely fit, and to be fair its not a problem if it did as long as your blood pressure is OK. I have a background of a life time of power and endurance sports and my resting HR is 36 bpm, my blood pressure is normal and my…
  • Agree with the first bit having to correct nearly every entry, but I find most people think Salt = Sodium and find people correctly change to mg but don't divide by 2.5 first this has result in some days showing more sodium intake than in reality if not corrected As you say: To convert grams of salt to milligrams of…
