The neck of a wine bottle, since when I get to the last glassful I AM tacky enough to drink from the bottle.

One habit that can help is putting all the ingredients on one dinner plate as you prep them (or two plates if you want leftovers). Sounds silly, but at least you can see when you have a full plate and should stop chopping vegetables! Also makes logging meals easy, if the plate happens to be sitting on top of your kitchen…

It sounds odd, but try throwing a couple of boiled egg whites and some hummus into a blender. You end up with high-protein hummus. Egg whites are pretty flavourless and, once blended, more or less hummus-textured. Might want to add some paprika etc. for flavour. Works with pretty much any dip, or just throw some herbs and…

Isn't everything? Hey, lookit that - Roman, but I have FOUR toes the same length, not 3. Super-Roman? Ultra-Roman?

Hi Cam, welcome! No, you shouldn't always be hungry. It might be the types of food you're used to eating - 300 calories of ice cream or pizza fits on quite a small plate. You would not believe how huge a 300 calorie bowl of bok choy is, even with oyster sauce etc. Lean protein, fruit & vegetables that are high in fiber,…

This! MFP (a different account) got me past a plateau last year, but I stopped using it for 6 months after reaching goal weight. Gradually regained 3kg and a few bad habits. A couple of weeks of logging has more or less fixed that. Essentially, I plan to use it as a reality check when needed. Not every day for the rest of…

Legend has it Arnold Schwarzenegger's post-workout snack was a whole chicken and a pitcher of beer. YMMV, but it sure sounds like more fun than protein shakes! :drinker:

Just to be clear - did you go to 'My Home', then 'Check-In', entered today's weight then hit the Save Changes button?

Is he only at home on weekends, and living/working somewhere else during the week? If so, he (or you) could buy only the amount of treats that he'll eat over a 2 day period. A small tub of ice cream, one bag of chips, etc. That way you won't be alone with those foods all week while he's gone. BTW I agree with the previous…

Killer red heels are never ridiculous. I'll wager you could pull them off today. Adding you!

Thank you! :flowerforyou: :smooched: Very well said. Part of it is the disappointment of reality vs. imagination. When I was fat (203lbs) I imagined slimmer people didn't have 'fat days'. Heh. Wrong. 130lbs, and I feel like the Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters today. If you really feel they're fishing for compliments…

54lb lost says you must be doing something right! :drinker: Do you know what your pattern is? e.g. do you feel most tempted (a) at a particular time of day, or (B) when eating out at a restaurant, or (c) after about 4 days in a row of sticking to your diet? If you know when you're going to face temptation, you can prepare…

Henny, if you still have the aluminium foil where you collected all the fat drippings, you can weigh the fat. Then use this: (Grams of fat) x 9 = (calories from fat) Subtract that from the calorie value of 110g of bacon according to the package. It won't be precise to the last calorie, but it should give you some idea of…
