I think you're right. It's just tough. We were setting up my appointment for this week. She sent me a message asking me if Friday worked. I haven't responded. I don't know what to say. I feel selfish for saying this, but I don't know if I feel comfortable continuing to see her knowing what I know. Maybe that makes me a…

Seriously? Why waste food? Save it for another day or fit a whole slice into your calories.
-
Yup, happens all the time. Whenever I weigh prepackaged foods, they almost always come out weighing substantially lower...especially frozen dinners. I eat stouffers spaghetti and meatballs on occasion if I need something convenient. Most of the time the serving I actually get with one of those dinners is AT LEAST 20 grams…

Why do you miss them? Eat them. You can eat bacon and lose weight. Fat does not make you fat, nor do carbs. A calorie surplus does.
-
Why would you throw it out? Sorry, I hate it when people waste food...pet peeve of mine. I always drink mine.

Set backs can happen even for those that do it a healthy way. I've been doing this since August of last year. I am one that practices moderation. I eat what I want in smaller portions. I am a big advocate for that. I have learned to balance eating what I love and fitting into a sustainable plan that helped me lose 90…

You'll be fine. Just jump back in and keep going. I'll be honest. I recently went through a rough patch. I lost my job, have bills piling, and I have a young daughter to support on my own. I've been in a panic and very down. That black cloud feeling has been over my head...I hate that feeling. For about a week, I gave up…

Instead of eating a whole pizza, I eat a serving of pizza. I still eat the same food in smaller amounts.
-
Your last meal? You can have take out and still lose weight. It doesn't have to be an all or nothing thing.
-
Yes, it's fine. I eat a vary varied diet myself. I get my fruits and veggies in and fiber, and I always make sure to hit my protein for the day. I also eat donuts, pizza, chips, etc. Weight loss is very simply calories in calories out. People always try to complicate it, but if you have no other medical conditions, it is…

Not necessarily. I don't limit my carbs. I also typically eat between 80 and 100 grams of fat per day. My fat intake is not an indication of anything other than I tend to eat more because it's satiating for me. Just because she increased her fat does not mean she couldn't take it anymore. Honestly, there is no need to…

I agree that eating enough fat is important, but there is no need to limit carbs unless you have a medical condition.
-
Why are you eating so few calories? I am 5 foot 7 and weigh 205, and I eat over 1800 calories a day and am losing. Perhaps you're hungry because you're not eating enough.

Jellytot, you could be me...or I could be you; however you want to look at it. I grew up in almost the exact same environment in terms of food and how I was treated by family due to my weight. I was always the chunky one. I have two sisters. Both absolutely beautiful and rail thin. My father was forever favoring them over…

My mom is the same way...stuck in the old way of thinking. Let it be what it is, and do your own thing. You will never change her mind.

Exactly...

This is not true. Time of day you eat does not matter in terms of weight loss as long as you eat at a deficit. I am a night time eater. I save the majority of my calories for the evening. I typically eat an 800 to 1000 calorie dinner between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. and go to bed an hour later, sometimes less. I've been doing…

Ah that moment when you realize you control the food, the food doesn't control you. Its a great feeling when that clicks...very freeing. Great job! :)

Well, I don't believe any food is literally addictive. But donuts are one that I have a hard time stopping with once I start. Cake donuts with icing that melts down in the hole are my favorite. Ya, now I'm drooling. That's why I usually just get ONE, sometimes two and don't keep more in the house, lol. Pizza is another.…

I've had two plateaus in the past year. The above advice about tightening up your logging is good. I would start there first. But I know what helped me both times is taking a bit of a break and going into maintenance for a week. The first time I hit a plateau, I went into maintenance out of frustration, lol. I just got fed…

O.P. to answer your question. I certainly have those moments. I've lost 90 pounds, but mentally my brain has not caught up with my body. Sometimes I'll see myself in a department store mirror and won't even recognize myself, especially when trying on clothes that actually fit. My daughter and I went shopping recently at a…

It is that simple, and as you were told in the other thread by multiple people after you made MANY posts on this, maybe you should consult a physician to make sure there is nothing else going on. With you (and I am going by your other posts not just this one) something isn't adding up right. Either you are not being as…

Corn on the Cob...with real butter and a bit of salt and pepper. Yummy.
-
Ya, no. This is not true for everybody. If it works for you then great.

I am not a morning eater. When I make myself eat in the morning, I am starving all day and more likely to overeat. I usually don't eat until around noon, and I have my biggest meal (between 800 to 1000 calories) between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m at night. Time of day makes no difference in terms of weight loss. I've lost 90 pounds…

I'm the same way. I just hate it in any form and I have tried many. People always say change it up until you find something you love. Well, that doesn't work for everyone. Some of us will always hate exercise of any kind. The best advice I can give you is just do it. What other choice do you have? Exercise isn't necessary…

Eat whatever you want if it fits in your calories. You don't have to stick with "breakfast food." I think we are so programmed to eat foods like cereal or eggs for breakfast that when we don't it seems weird. I personally rarely eat "breakfast food" for breakfast, but then I also usually don't eat what would be my…

It's fine to eat late at night. It won't hinder weight loss. That's how I've been eating for the last 10 months or so, and I've lost 90 pounds. I always eat most of my calories in the evening since I've always been a night time eater. I usually have my largest meal within an hour or so of going to bed...sometimes it's up…

If you're not losing weight and doing everything right as you claim, then you need to see a doctor. If you have seen a doctor, and they've run tests and all came back fine, then you are eating too many calories. Aside from medical issues, there really are no other alternative explanations to not losing weight while eating…

Not sure than anyone is going to be able to give you an answer that will appease you. If it's not enough food, then adjust your pounds lost per week so you can eat more. I haven't read all of your other posts, but it sounds like you're eating the bare minimum. Try adjusting calories so that you will lose half a pound per…
