If you're still losing, it's not a plateau. That's reasonable weight loss. I've been stuck at a real plateau before and would have loved to lost half a pound a week. That's good steady weight loss. Losing faster isn't always better. I can tell you what has helped me. I have hit a couple of plateau's, and I went into…

Personally, I can't stand Quest bars, lol. But I love Pure Protein bars. :) Although my fave is the chocolate peanut butter. I've not had the fruit and nut one shown above, but I may have to try it.

And I was simply adding to your answer. My post wasn't really directed at you. It was directed at anyone who thinks this is a good idea. What is it with people on this board being so easily offended today?

As they shouldn't. It's not healthy. Not to mention that if you are actually losing 5 pounds a week, it's likely not all fat. You are losing some muscle in there too. And you're also not fueling your body properly. You would have to be eating at a serious deficit to even come close to losing that much in a week.

Not sure how you're searching. I searched the database for "Panera salad" and a whole bunch of hits came up. I just don't know what particular kind of salad you ate. If you don't find the salad you're looking for, you can always create your own entry with nutritional information from the Panera website.…

I think those things are always worth it, lol. That's just my opinion. Just don't overindulge in them. You can have a popcorn ball, or a donut, or some pizza and still stay within your calories. Usually when they make you feel crappy or when you have gained weight eating them, it's because you've overindulged. I've never…

Sorry, but there is NO WAY you are burning that many calories in that short amount of time. And if your weight lost has averaged out to about a pound a week, I'm not sure what the problem is. You don't have to eat back your exercise calories. I usually eat back about half, but with the small amount of exercise you do they…

LOL...Well, of course it's appealing, but since fruit and veggies have calories as well it will also cause you to exceed your calories for the day. As appealing as it may sound to you, you can't eat any food in unlimited quantities and expect to lose weight. Sorry, it doesn't work like that.

I get it. Chocolate cake has eggs...and milk. "Dad is great...ba dum ba dum bum bum...give us the chocolate cake." That used to be one of my favorite stand up routines, lol.

It's not impossible to go over on your calories in one meal. Unless you have a medical condition, if you are eating at a deficit, you will lose weight. If you're not losing and you don't have a medical condition, you are eating too many calories.
-
I think you have yet to answer the question do you weigh your food. If you're not weighing your food, then you really have no idea how many calories you are eating. Weigh and measure EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth, even prepackaged/portioned foods. Weigh solids on a food scale and measure liquids with a measuring cup…

Glad I'm not alone on this, lol. I just don't get the love for them...at all.
-
I've had them. And I'd rather have ice cream as well. Quest bars are not good in my opinion. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It's not what you eat, it's how much you eat. Even if you eat "healthy" most of the time, if you are going over your calories, yes, it can stall your weight loss.
-
Oh good grief, just have some. Go out for a run or something to build up some calories. I agree with the post above. Deprivation is not the way to go. Every time I've done it while losing weight in the past I eventually failed and gained my weight back. Moderation is key. You CAN stop at one piece. I'm sitting here eating…

OP, just eat a grilled cheese or pasta then. You can eat them...watch your portions and fit them into your calories. I'm not a big pasta fan, but I eat grilled cheese all the time with real butter and cheese. None of that fat free junk. :)

Well, in my own personal study it does work, and that's the only study that matters to me. :)

^ This. They are likely lipomas, which are benign fatty tumors. I have a huge one on my back near my shoulder blade. Most people don't notice it unless I tell them it's there, but I can see it and feel it. I about crapped when I first found it as I thought it was cancer, but so relieved it is benign. I have smaller ones…

Mine was more like mindless eating. I went to the gas station the other day, and I got a donut. This particular gas station gets their donuts from a local bakery that is SO good. I got to the register, and the lady looked at me and told me the donuts were buy one get one free after 3 o'clock, and it was 3:01, lol. This is…

lol...Sex makes me hungry. So it would be the opposite for me.

^^^This. I focus mainly on protein as well, and make sure I hit that number every day. I also see the fat macro as a minimum. Fat does not make you fat. That's a common misconception. Going over on your fat won't hinder your weight loss. I regularly go over my fat, some days by quite a bit, and I've lost almost 90 pounds.…

OP honestly, you didn't even do that bad. I had a day last week where I had over 3000 calories. I logged it, and moved on. I had put on some water weight for a few days, but it was gone by the end of the week. The same may happen with you. If you do gain weight, it will likely just be water weight and will come back off…

It is what it is. I've lost almost 90 pounds, and I need to lose around 50 more. My saggy skin is horrible and will only get worse. Not much you can do about it accept for stay hydrated, take care of your skin, and try not to lose weight too rapidly. About a year after weight loss what you have is pretty much what your…

My question is always, how did you get overweight in the first place if that's all you can eat. You were obviously eating way more calories in order to get to the point you needed to lose weight. And I don't buy the "I eat high volume foods." Yes, you can eat a lot of lettuce for 300 calories, but it's not satiating and…

Same here...and wondering why it would be too late for her to eat more. I eat right up until I got to bed.
-
Usually full fat. Although I do drink 2 percent milk just because I don't like whole milk. I never eat fat free. It's not the fat that makes you fat. And as others have said, fat is satiating.
-
I always wonder the same thing. My 1600 even seems low to me on the days I don't exercise to earn more.
-
Do you exercise? You can always use any earned exercise calories back for treats. I think that's what some do. Me personally I will never drop my calories to 1200. It's just too restrictive. When I get to the point where my calories are too low (right now they are at 1600, but they increase when I exercise usually to…

Seriously? There is no need to do any type of cleanse. Your body is efficient at cleansing itself all on its own.
