Great job! We are in pretty much the same boat. I've lost nearly 90 and have about 50 more myself. :) I wish you luck in reaching your goal.

Really no reason to avoid carbs unless you have a medical condition that requires you to.
-
I do the same. I've told several friends who have told friends. Lots of networking for MFP. I guess their way of thanking us is making us pay for a premium service, lol. Oh well.
-
^^This.
-
Nay...I like Pure Protein bars.
-
That's probably right then. I would got with the MFP number.

There's nothing you can do to fix it unfortunately except surgery. I have the same thing, and mine is really bad. I've lost 87 pounds and have about 50 or so more to go, so mine will get even worse. :( Some of it may bounce back a bit. I think most people say a year after the weight loss you will see pretty much what…

I agree, lol. As I was reading, I was thinking the most surprising thing about her post is that she's actually in college. I guess I'm not as kind as you. :D

My thoughts on the Paleo diet are it's completely uneccesary. It's far too restrictive. But if you want to follow it, and if you think it's sustainable for you in the long term. Then go for it I guess.

I'm starting to think this guy is trolling, and reading through the above posts it looks like others caught onto this a while ago as well. Adamitri, you are spot on with your comments. I agree 100 percent.

Oh good greif it would too work. If you are at a deficit you will lose weight. Time of day does not matter and type of food does not matter for weight loss as long as you are at a deficit. People like you are the type that confuse new people to the forum which is why you are getting so many responses, most of which are…

You're 20 pounds lighter because you are eating at a deficit. If the only thing you did was stop eating carbs after noon, then I could see your point, but you said you did this AND ate at a deficit at the same time. Weight loss is about calories in and calories out. Time of day you eat certain foods or time of day you eat…

^^This. The phrase "cheat day" is a pet peeve of mine. It implies you are doing something wrong and some people even use it as a reward, which in my mind you shouldn't do. That doesn't help develop a healthy relationship with food in my opinion. Plus, when I did them in the past they usually set me back a bit, so not worth…

I don't like Quest bars at all really. I tried to because so many rave about them on here, but they're not for me. I recently started eating Pure Protein bars and love them. They are so much better tasting in my opinion. I would just try the Quest bars out for yourself and see what you think, but don't buy a whole box.…

Well, you didn't drop 10 pounds of fat in a week on Medifast. The majority of that would have been just water weight. Also, you might want to be careful going all in like that with exercise the first week. I'm not discouraging exercise at all, but I also don't want to see you burn out either or get injured considering you…

I actually showed this to my daughter months ago. So many younger kids think what they see in the magazine or ads is real or at least close to real. They have NO idea how manipulated most of those photos are. It's sad and sets impossible expectations for them. Nobody looks perfect, not even those models in the…

This is my pattern as well, and it has been since I started losing weight in August. I won't lose anything for 2 or 3 weeks, then suddenly I will drop 3 pounds in a week. Not sure why this happens, but it's a definite pattern for me personally. I've lost 85 pounds and it's been that way the whole way through. I am a…

We have a Five Guys in our town. I've been meaning to go there. It's suppose to be good food from what I've heard.
-
No reason to ditch fast food if you can fit it into your calories on occasion. I had a double cheeseburger from Burger King for lunch today, and it was yummy. It fit within my calories, too.
-
Some garlic and herb french bread, and it was yummy. :)
-
This is my thought. I had a double cheeseburger from Burger King. But I hit my macros and stayed within my calories so I guess I don't see it as a bad choice.

Lots of useful information above. For me, the binging is a symptom of something bigger. I would (and still on occasion do I admit even though I'm much, much better than I was) binge when I was depressed or anxious about something. There's no simple answer, and there's no quick fix. It's taken me months to somewhat get…

You look beautiful. My only concern is that mole on your side, lol. It's pretty dark...get it checked. Sorry, I'm just a bit paranoid. I had malignant melanoma 8 years ago...not fun.
-
Just eat a serving of icecream. You don't have to make yourself miserable. You can still fit what you want into your diet, just watch your portions and track it.
-
You need to worry less about how quickly you can lose the weight and more about a sustainable eating plan and overall health. 1400 cals a day is not enough for a male your size. You will likely burn out pretty quickly. Better to up your calories and lose slower than eat what you are now, quit and gain it all back.
-
I focus mainly on calories, but I do make sure I hit my protein macro for the day. I don't worry about fat and carbs as much. It's been working so far...have lost over 80 pounds.
-
Exactly, and I'm from Nebraska, too....the Cornhusker state, lol. Can't live here and not eat the corn. ;) Can't wait until the Farmer's Market starts up here.
-
Okay, good idea. I just didn't know if the cob was included in the 90g per serving weight or if the 90g was just the corn. It would make sense that it wouldn't be since you don't eat it, but who knows, lol. I love corn on the cob, too. Plan on eating a ton of it this summer, so I thought I'd better figure this out now. :)

I was thinking of doing something similar, but without the olives. Just not a fan. :) But I thought tomatoes, cucumber, feta, and maybe some beans would be good.
