Not a period type of thing? What planet do you people live on? Google PMS cravings. Good grief. And with that I'm done. I just remembered why I haven't posted on these forums for months.

Explaining what I and many other women go through and how we deal with it is not taking a victim role. It's stating a fact. And did you forget what the topic of the OP's post is? It's not like I just started talking about this out of thin air. Good grief, you people. And he's not right in MY situation or in the situations…

Um, I don't think anyone said every woman deals with this. In fact, I specifically said in the last sentence of one of my posts that not every woman does. Every woman is different. So don't insinuate something is wrong with someone because their PMS manifests itself differently than yours does. You assuming that is just as…

LOL! *sigh* You need to understand the difference between craving and physical hunger, and again, you are REALLY in no position to preach at women about how they should and shouldn't feel during PMS. And no journal entry is more of an authority on my body than I am...good grief. I've been on this earth for 40 years. I know…

Ya, I get that. :) My posting has less to do with him and more to do with some of the women that might be reading and not commenting. It irritates me that people guilt some women into thinking they should just suck it up because it's not that bad, especially when the person who says such things has NO idea what they're…

Quest bars are okay if you can stomach the taste. I personally don't like them. They don't taste good, and I always feel like I've licked a chalk board after eating them. I actually haven't eaten protein bars for a while, but several months ago, I was eating some that I made at home with a recipe. They were really good. I…

I've been doing this for over a year, and I've never eaten 1200 calories. That's just not enough calories to keep me satiated. My calories right now are at just over 1700 even after losing 100 pounds. Perhaps two pounds a week is too aggressive for you. I have mine set to lose 1 pound per week, and as I get closer to my…

You have no concept of what PMS hunger is like, no. And PMS hunger is like no other hunger I have ever dealt with in my life. For some of us, it's constant and unrelenting for a week no matter how much you eat. I can eat an entire pizza and literally be hungry an hour later. When I am going through my PMS hunger phase, I…

Spoken like a man who has never dealt with PMS and has NO idea what it's like. I'm with the others that say they go into maintenance mode. I usually eat at maintenance mode during that week, sometimes above. There have been times I have been able to stay at a deficit (which is why I didn't mention maintenance in my post…

There is no alternative for chocolate. I just eat chocolate when I'm craving it. If I don't let myself have some here and there, I will end up binging on it later. I've been at this for a little over a year and have lost just over 100 pounds. Eating chocolate and other sugary treats on occasion has not hindered my weight…

Congrats to you. Excellent work. I've been at this for about a year and three months and have lost over 100 pounds, but I have not had a continuous logging streak unfortunately as I have missed a day here and there. I do disagree a bit with a couple of points you made in your list, but whatever works for you. I will be…

Okay, thanks. I did bump it up to lightly active. I think you're right...probably not more than that. I had it set at sedentary still though as I didn't change it when I switched jobs (used to work a desk job) and was starving on days I was working, lol. Lightly active gives me a couple hundred more calories so that helps.

Thanks everyone. :)

I wondered what happened to ana. I guess that explains why I haven't seen her post in a while. I thought I saw Mr. M post the other day? Maybe not. It's unfortunate because they always gave good, straightforward information. Were they blunt? Of course. But that doesn't take away from their advice. I remember my first…

I have PVCs. Premature ventricular contractions. I've had them my whole life and have been told they're benign. They are much, much worse when I'm stressed and around my menstrual cycle. Those (in my experience anyway) usually don't cause the chest pain you're describing. Maybe others have had different experiences, but…

This is all good, but in order to completely rule it out, they should be having you wear a holter monitor so they can see what the heart is doing WHILE you are having one of these episodes. Either that or they need to do a stress test, but since it does not happen every time you exercise, that may not catch anything. I had…

I don't say no. I have a serving of something that looks good and log it. Actually, food at the office has helped my willpower. I've learned I can be around that food, have a serving, and move on.
-
Oh, that looks good. I can't tolerate almonds though, so I don't know about the almond flour. I wonder if it would be as good with regular flour or even whole wheat flour.
-
I've not tried it. I want to just out of curiosity though. I remember reading up on a recipe for it a while back, and they said the absolute key to get it to hold together is to use a cheesecloth and squeeze as much water out of it as possible after you've put it in the food processor. Apparently that step can been pretty…

Yup, I wrote it, and I stand by it. Those foods will not cause you to gain weight. A calorie surplus will. You can have those foods in moderation as part of a healthy diet and they won't negatively effect your health. The reason that obesity is rampant is because people eat too much. Period. We have super size fries,…

You don't have to break up with it. You can still go on a date with it on occasion. :)
-
I never said a thing about cholesterol and saturated fats. And I still stand by what I said. Your "facts" were dug up from a source that is biased towards your side. I could find articles that support my side as well...that all foods are fine and won't negatively effect your health if eaten in moderation. Call me blind all…
-
LOL...I stand by what I said. I've lost over 90 pounds eating these things. They don't hinder weight loss. Eating too many calories does. These things are fine in moderation, and won't negatively effect your health unless you have an underlying medical condition.
-
Um, about $15. Maybe a little less, lol.
-
Nobody here is trying to sabotage anyone. Only offering helpful advice.
-
There's nothing wrong with vegetable oils or white sugar and flour, and unless you have a medical condition, there is no reason to restrict them. They won't hinder weight loss...a calorie surplus will.
-
Did she say why? I mean, calorie restrictions this drastic are usually only given as a last resort to people that have significant health issues from being very overweight. I would get a second opinion before cutting my calories that low, or just use your better judgement if you don't have any underlying health concerns…

^^This. The other one I can't say out loud, so I'm going with this, lol.
