  • I'm another who's going to run a 5K early Thanksgiving morning. My gym isn't manned, but it's open to those with key cards. Steve
  • At 210, my goal was 190, with a stretch goal of 180. I'm at 180 now, and find that I've still got a little too much flab, IMHO. My latest goal is to have my BMI within the "normal" range. At 5'11", I figure another 5lbs is good for that. Steve
  • I feel your pain! I was up to week 7 in the C25K app that I was doing, when this happened to me. Lots of ice, ibuprofen, and a knee brace made the pain go away, eventually. I'm getting ready to start again. Steve
  • 2 of 3.. Never made it to the old gym. Did walk at lunch, and did 35 min of cardio at the gym. Upper body exercises, and then home.
  • 1. Lunchtime walk at work 2. Upper body day at the new gym. 3. Walk to the old gym and back, clean out locker, and turn in my card and lock

I'd done Weight Watchers with my wife before, but didn't want to count points, when calories are what I eat. Since downloading the App,…
  • I achieved my day's goal, by walking 2.25 miles around my workplace. I sprained my knee a few weeks ago, running, and haven't been able to move as well as before. Since I count on the extra cardio calories to offset some of my eating, I'm up a bit, but that will change, now
  • When I started back, after not being in a gym in years, I began with the treadmill, recumbent or eliptical, and moved on to each of the Cybex machines that work specific body parts. I started with what I thought was a decent weight for me, and adjusted as necessary. As I gained strength and stamina, I moved into the free…
  • I joined MFP *BECAUSE* I wanted to count my food intake against a daily goal. Before, I was eating anything, and had no daily calorie goal. I *thought* I was being food-frugal, but hadn't a clue. Now, I can measure my daily intake against that goal, and modify it as necessary during the day. Steve
