Definitely can relate. I've lost the same 25 lbs so many times, only to gain it all back. Not sure why I keep hitting a certain point, then give up - I've got more than 25 lbs to lose. I'm back on track again and am trying to be mindful of what triggers cause me to stop when I'm making such good progress.

I have that same problem....good all day then undo it at night. I finally started scheduling my dinner around 7:30 or so, and a snack somewhat later. Since I'm usually in bed by 10, I was able to avoid the mindless snacking since I was still full.

I wish I could offer you some suggestions, but find myself in a similar position (but not even close to losing what I need to). Hopefully someone who has overcome this self-defeating behavior will respond with what worked for them.

Great post - thanks for sharing!

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

The things you did right are probably the most important ones...now all you need to do is tweak your choices to keep food intake at your calorie range. I have that same problem....but the way I look at it, it's a process. You are training yourself to undo some bad food choices and bad food habits and that takes more than a…

Great post! I agree.....I force myself to log everything even though some entries make me cringe. But I figure I'm working on changing eating habits that took me 50+ years to develop, and try not to beat myself up on the days I went over my calorie allowance. On "bad" days, I like to look back and see if something I ate…

Flounder and cod are mild tasting white fleshed fish. Not a big fish eater myself, but these I can eat without being turned off by the fishy taste.

Very pretty girl...and even at 205 you carry it well. I can only imagine what a knockout you'll be at your ideal weight.

Just what I needed to hear. I dreaded inputting yesterday's food intake in my diary but did it anyway. Your story showed me it's not the number of times we fail but that we just pick ourselves up and try, try again. Congrats on your success, and lucky you for having such an amazing wife!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your story. The knee x-ray could be mine. I've got a long way to go, but dropping 25 lbs. has helped with the pain some. Your success (and dusty ibuprophen bottle) has given me hope that continuing on my journey will lead to a similar outcome for me. Congrats on your…

You've obviously put a lot of work into your body, and it shows. Having been overweight practically my entire life, it's too easy to fall into the trap of thinking life will be perfect when I lose the weight. But I realize I will still be the same person, just in a slimmer body. If there are aspects to myself that I don't…

Wow....you look like a different person. Congrats!

Nicely done! It is amazing how heavy that weight feels when it's something like cat litter, yet how long have many of us carried that weight around on our bodies 24/7. Small wonder joints hurt, and energy is low. Picking up something that weighs close to what you lost is a good way to see just how far you have come.

Getting out of the obese category is a huge milestone! Congrats....you look great.

Wow - great job. You look fantastic!

2 tablespoons chia seeds, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, 1/4 cup coconut milk, 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and stevia or splenda to taste. Combine everything in the morning (or the day before) and by afternoon you'll have the most delicious pudding that tastes just like an almond joy candy bar. Chia is really…

I spread mine on a tostada and then top with f/f refried beans and salsa. I also spread on thin slices of apple or pear.

This is the kind of crazy diet I would have done in the past. Fast weight loss only to gain it right back shortly after. One of the posters in the comments section said she was dizzy, weak, and almost fainted twice, but she lost 14 pounds. Some endorsement.

Glad I took the time to watch all of this. I think it is going to help a lot. Thank you for posting this!

Looks good, and is on my menu for breakfast tomorrow. Thanks for sharing!

I discovered Quaker popped hummus chips - white cheddar & herb. They are delicious, and for 30 grams (16 good sized chips) there are 4 grams of protein and only 130 calories. Satisfies my need for a salty, crunchy snack with a ton more flavor and nutrition than baked potato chips.

I haven't posted before but when I saw this, I felt I had to. It's a red flag. Anyone who ridicules your body isn't someone you want to be with. Laughing and teasing about someone's flaws is very passive aggressive and it only gets worse the more you allow it. Why would you want to be with someone who makes you ashamed of…
