This is so true. So powerful.
Your mindset is critical. This is not a game that you can start and stop. It's your life. Take your power back. This is the perfect day. Do it.

My Mom used to call this "stick-to-it-tiveness". We use it successfully in other parts of our lives - marriage, work, raising children, sports. But for some reason, we give ourselves permission to stop doing the one important thing - getting healthy. One small misstep and we throw in the towel. We let our brain tell us it's too hard. We're too weak.

This is the post that I needed to read today!
I was a "habitual repeat starter/stopper" - I am slowly learning to change my ways. Thanks so much for writing this.. It inspired! :drinker:

Needed someone else to say this to me. I've been beating myself up today because this week hasn't been the greatest food-wise. I keep telling myself "Give yourself a break. It's not like you gained back 24 pounds. Just keep going." Because it is just life. Thanks for the positive post!:drinker:

Righto. All you got is today. Past is done.

    Good stuff

I like this a lot. I also came to the same realizatin. For years, it was "I'll start <insert day>". That was always preceeded by eating as much as I could/whatever I wanted until my designated start day. Every little thing set me off and the cycle repeated. I was always starting over until I stopped.

    Nice post :flowerforyou:

I always do this. I always say "I'll start tomorrow"and then binge eat. Only thing is tomorrow never comes. Sadly, I go through this everyday. So frustrating!!!
