@wabmester, if you have decided this diet isn't for you, then i am not sure why you are wanting to be persuaded "into" trying it. In a group of people that admittedly like it. I think i speak for all of us when i say we support the level of carbs that work for you-but going into it expecting it not to be sustainable is a…

in this video he states a set of macros and i have changed my macros to match. Here's what mine are (of course i had to round since this is MFP) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFD2q5iqevY Protein 28% Carb 13% Fat 59% i do not stress a ton about macros-i would rather my weight loss take a little longer and be a little more…

i have recently discovered Fage "total" full fat plain greek yogurt. Holy crap, it's YUMMZZZ

full fat yogurt is 9g per cup-a cup is a decent amount. i can usually make that work. Fage "total" is wonderful. Great Value / walmart also sells some. but the fage is fluffier and i love the texture.

definitely me! i lost 86 pounds, i have gained maybe 7 of those back? i have noticed a trend-late fall and winter are hard, spring summer fall, easier (until about thanksgiving)...there are times i have to throw what i am "trying" to do out the window and try a new eating plan because "new" motivates me...i am trying NOT…

i have a teenager who eats low carb with us while at home. While she is out, she makes her own choices. But the other day she said she didn't really care for buns on her burger anymore. They were just too plain and "bready". Woo hoo! (Ps i am not that young but thank you you made my day :)

I've come a long way when a coke zero and a quest bar sound scandalously luxurious. i would eat that once in a while-guilt free! LOL! sounds like he has an interesting experiment going there.

i am mid-book right now. i am enjoying it. it was ten bucks on Nook-a good read. thumbs up from jen. i am not far enough to say if i will commit to that way of eating, but a few more veggies would probably be good

thank you all so much. I was hesitant to post about this! But i appreciate all the support. I will read over all the information you guys have given. At least, i am not alone! thank you!

thank you shades. i don't know what kind i have, other than to say plaque psoriasis. and very swollen lymph nodes!! And not much fun. she said it's very likely to spread and now i have some close to my eye and in my ear! WTH! i honestly thought it seemed highly unlikely to get this while being low carb-because it seems to…

sometimes we all need something quick and easy! thank you for recommending!

she comes across to me as more of fat accepting person and doesn't really particularly want to change. i tried to watch the show once at the gym-i did watch one episode but that's all, so maybe my impression is wrong.
In reality: IIFYM got traction here because you can eat donuts while feeling like you're doing something good for your body (the protein).
LOL! Agreed!

thanks for the video, i bought the book. Calorie counting and carb level and veggies and fruit have all been on my mind.

low carb is a serious "de-puffer"-i bet your face looks different!!!!!!!!!

i am happy i am not the only one looking for my mojo :/

I went ahead and used the honey because they are tiny and if you eat a few of them per day the carbs are negligible. Also the author swears the honey gives you a satiation that for example stevia in the recipe wouldn't. But there were ppl in the comments who used stevia and said it came out just fine.

BPC works on those days when you do not feel hungry. It extends that 'morning not hungry feeling', it's warm, and caffeine is involved. it extends, for me, the morning not wanting to eat mood. I don't have that mood every morning through, so for me, it only works on those days, and it's a nice treat. Also i have a…

Going too low isn't good, but, some people need to go to low to see results. Just saying we just aren't all the same.

When i make the coconut oil ones, i switch them from the freezer to the fridge once they are set (overnightish)...they stay solid but not frozen, edible and the consistency is yummy. Thank you for the recipe. I might have to try this and i never try anything!!!!

Perhaps think about eating on the lower end of your calories, working out, and then eating those calories back. That way you are too tired to wake up for cravings, and a walk on a treadmill at 30 minutes with an incline will burn *about* 200 calories. That could be an extra snack.

First time i got into ketosis i had a headache (dull) that literally lasted two weeks. But now that my body seems to understand it will not die and it's shortened up to a few days if i cheat heavy and then get back to keto. TLDR; it's normal and it will go away LOL feel better Jen
