Honestly i would say it takes 30 pounds, maybe it's just me. Or new clothes. If your clothes are too big it's harder to tell. But don't do it for them. Do it for you :)

When i started my journy i had 130.9 pounds to lose. i am new to MFP but I have lost 67 so far (i think i said 68 in some of my old posts. Sorry. pffft math). i drink jack & diet coke (one) on rare occaisions. It's not paleo but once in awhile on the weekend we are out somewhere and i want a drink. i learned long ago on my weight loss journey i cannot have alcohol with any kind of regularity and lose weight. It just DOES NOT work for me. Hope that helps a little!

I just started eating this way a week ago. I lost 3 pounds (i have already lost 68 on my journy pre MFP eating various ways). The lower carbs and less processed foods seem to be the key for me. You guys inspired me to try them. Pretty good! I think they will work best for me when i am stuck without plan friendly food (like keeping one in my purse) or when i have the desire to "indulge" in something i dont eat everyday. i enjoy all the salad dressings. Chipotle ranch in my fridge right now and it's yummy....i don't expect something no cal to taste as good as "regular" but it's good enough to make my salad enjoyable and i don't care to spend calories on salad dressing. But everyone wants to "spend" their calories on different things :)

i just joined MFP but i started my journey on 1/1/12 at 260.9 now i am 195.5 :) i am hoping MFP will help me count my macronutrients and it works alot better than the last app i used.
