I enjoy loading and reracking my weights because I consider it part of my workout. We are at the gym to workout, right? An empty bench or area just makes it obvious that it's not being used and saves time. Some people just don't care though and in my opinion it says a lot about a persons character.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely take a look at your diary and consider making some changes. By the way, you've been doing an incredible job. Keep up the good work.

This is the link to the TDEE calculator that I used - http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/ Based on my activity level, and according to this calculator, I need to average 2,500 calories on "rest" days and 3,150 on "workout" days in order to lose about 0.75 pounds a week. Over the last month I've netted about 1,800 calories…

For me, consistency has been key. I hold myself accountable and track the alcohol calories no matter how depressing it may turn out to be. Whether it's a bottle of wine or a few well drinks, I like to know where I'm at so I can make up for it throughout the week. In my opinion there are no disadvantage to being aware of my…

IF (intermittent fasting) varies, but basically it's no food, just water, tea and coffee (black) for a fixed time period. I usually stop eating around 8 to 10pm and I typically don't start eating until noon, sometimes even later in the day. I basically skip breakfast and morning snacks. One key is to make sure you get your…

1st or 2nd meal of the day for me (my 1st meal is anytime between noon and 5pm). I've been doing IF for a few weeks and the results have been phenomenal so far and it's been so much easier for me to control my appetite. Once I turn on my taste buds all hell breaks loose! When I was doing five to six meals a day, I was…

I used my new hrm all weekend and it is the real deal. The initial feel and style of the watch seems old school (mid 80s) but the functionality is awesome. Is it worth the price I paid for the ft7? I would say yes so far. It records several activities throughout the day to get the following: high, low and average bpm;…

There are so many choices out there and I was just spinning my wheels trying to decide on a decent HRM. I wanted one sooner than later so I based my decision on popularity and reviews on Amazon - otherwise I would have waited forever. I'm anxious to know how many calories a day I'm actually burning, and of course, get my…

I wish my gym had a ban on squatters. You know, people that sit on a piece of equipment and do a set every fifteen minutes (if any) as if they were at home. In my opinion, it's common courtesy to re-rack your weights even if you didn't load the equipment. It's part of the workout experience and makes it a little more…

This one takes a while, and a lot of talking and walking, but I can't wait to get back into those size 34s...ha, ha. At first I was telling friends and co-workers what I was doing, now everyone else is asking me. It feels good.
-
Yes, extra credit to those who walk the talk, becuase it's not easy to do.
-
A walker versus a talker - I naturally give more respect to people who lead by example and true team players in life.

Wheat free has done wonders for me over the last two months. I would highly recommend it based on my personal experience. The wheat we eat today is a genetic freak. C heck out Wheat Belly by Dr. Davis.

IMHO I really think you need to change your diet. I'd suggest tracking your carbs instead of fiber and also make some tweaks to your daily nutrition. Tracking calories is the hard part, so you have that out of the way. I'd suggest increasing your protein and fat intake, and try to restrict sugar (not carbs) unless it's a…

Oh, I love my nuts (almonds, peanuts, mixed).

I prepare my lunches for the upcoming week on Sunday since free time during the week is limited. I usually prepare four or five one-gallon bags with the following: iceberg lettuce, spinach, broccoli, green beans, two to three hard-boiled eggs, 3.5oz portion of lean meat (I prefer steak), and pre-cooked lentils. Boring but…

Be consistent (don't give up). It takes time to put the weight on and it "should" take some time to take it off.

I used to be an apple and banana a day guy out of pure convenience, but for me, a simple switch to veggies has been doing the trick. Cutting out bread has also made a huge difference in my results. I'll stay on this plan until I get to my goal weight and gradually implement fruits back into my diet.
-
I often do a quick protein shake and a handful of mixed nuts - works for me when I'm in a hurry. I also love my hard boiled eggs. They keep in the fridge well and they're relatively cheap and easy.

Amazing job! It has to feel great!
