Thanks for the recipes! I make a good pea soup but it's nice to learn how to make something else now and then.

This is awesome and I have found diversion works well for me too but I like to get outside and pound the pavement. I'm glad you found something that works for you!
-
I buy clothes as I need them because I don't want to waste money on sizes I may not get to or might be too big in the end, though I have set a set amount of money aside to buy new clothes once I reach my goal weight.

Please don't restart the war, we almost had peace going on here.

So lets put this topic to bed then. Nutrition does matter and you should aim to eat a good diet but the occasional treat is alright as well be that ice cream or a coke. Exercise is great for health and will help in your overall efforts of weight loss but you do not need to exercise to lose weight. Concentrate on meeting…
-
Because you keep saying if people do this than this will happen!

I think you're right so it might be wise for me to back out now instead of going in circles. I do understand where he's coming from but I just want him to take into account that when you start restriction, when tell people that this and that is bad you're setting people up for failure. People need to learn how to live with…

But not everyone needs to eat more calories and there is nothing wrong with a treat after you meet your macro. Not everyone needs to jump up and expand their calorie intake, not everyone needs that and no one bases their nutrition specifically on one item alone but if I have a healthy lunch and dinner and I'd like to have…

No it is not, nutritionally is different but I will lose weight no matter what I eat as long as I'm in a deficit. You are talking health wise. Is a person eating nothing but Mcdonalds healthy no but if they're in a deficit the weight loss will continue. CICO is what matters for weight loss but not in terms of actual…
-
Because it's true, a calorie is a calorie plain in simple. But you want to get into nutritional values of those calories and that is different than what you're saying.
-
Who is implying anything other than what is actually true. And not all diabetics have to avoid sweets but keep going with your assumptions. You know when you assume stuff right. I agree you can't out run a bad diet but I'm not about bow down to restrictive diets that most new people won't be able to follow and bow out. You…

Disagreement with what you're writing is attacking again? Really?
-
Wait, who said to eat white rice all day. Please go back and point out the person that said that.
-
Is it Friday yet? I'm waiting for the mean people threads.
-
Can I put in for 9:30 here and just ate some carbs.
-
So your solution is not to teach people to eat when they're hungry and not when they just want something. Just tell them to exercise more and you can eat as much as you want as long as it's cleeaaaan fooood.
-
My weight loss is fine where it is, why do I need to use your tactics to change the good things that are already going on with my body. Why do I need to eat more when I'm not hungry.
-
For weight loss it does not matter where they come from. For health they do. I don't need to become a *clean eater* to lose weight and be healthy.
-
So you're looking at nutrition and not weight loss then. I agree nutritionally we should aim to hit our macros but after that feel free to have a treat. As long as you stay in a deficit you will not gain weight. Now if I over consume than yes the weight is going to come back.
-
Diet is why you lose weight, exercise is for health. You cannot out run a bad diet no matter how much exercise you do.
-
Don't mind Chrys, she does this in every thread she visits.

Actually I should be eating more than I am now. I've lost 30lbs in the last three months and my doctor told me to up my calories. On the other end of the scale I'm no longer ravenously hungry so I'm not going to eat anymore when my body doesn't need it. CICO works, if I eat over what it takes to maintain I will gain weight…
-
This is true, I eat up to midnight and have lost a lot of freaking weight, explain to me where it went. I eat ice cream and candy bars and potato chips.
-
I eat carbs for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I'm down over 70lbs total. I'm sorry OP that this turned into a mean person thread for you but really stop hearing only what you want to hear and listen. If no carbs after two is working for you so be it but there really isn't anything magical about it.
-
Wait, what?
-
You will live forever, never get cancer and never age.

I've worked in a hospital and the food there was actually pretty great. The shifts were twelve to sixteen hours long so I sometimes ate breakfast lunch and dinner there. They even had chefs come in and make steaks and chicken meals.

I think it was this:

No no, it's sooo true. Also very clear and concise.

These are the great debates of our times, we need it to continue for at least for another 5-10 pages.
