Don't be discouraged. I'm a big comfort eater too. I've had to re-think HOW I comfort eat, and WHY I do it. It's a vicious cycle. I over eat because I feel bad, and I feel bad because I over eat. Try and choose healthier foods, or take a walk, anything to help break the cycle. You can do it - we're all here to help!

I piked up a weight watchers brand scale a couple of years ago....one of the best investments I've ever made. It measures weight in tenths of a pound -- 190.1, 190.2, etc instead of just full and half pounds. I really like this type of scale.

Non scale victory - My latest NSV was putting on pants that I haven't worn in years, and actually buttoning them!! Welcome to MFP!!

She needs to make time to eat. Does she drink water during the day? Can some of the water be replaced by a supplement (Ensure or something like it)? Just an idea.....

My doctor recommended just a general multivitamin with iron every day. The extra iron really helped me with fatigue.

If you figure out how to do it, please let me know! I am soooo not a morning person. I do all my exercising at night right now.

I was a terrible late night snacker and it was really hard to break the habit. Try reaching for a stick of sugar free gum, or a sugar free hard candy. It will stay a while in your mouth, and you won't be tempted to raid the refrigerator.

That's awesome! Congrats!

Wonderful job! I've just hit 15 pounds, and can use all the friends I can get for motivation and support. Feel free to add me!

I basically eat the same breakfast & lunch every day -- it's fast and easy for me to put together when getting ready for work. Supper time varies - a lot! So at least 5 times a week I'm eating the same foods, but still losing weight. I don't think it really makes a difference. Just have options in mind in case you get…

Vent away........I know it does me good to let loose once in a while! Take a few deep breaths. My motto at work (which can be pretty stressful) is "one paper at a time". I've started to apply this to my home life as well. One thing, one step at a time. Hang in there!

You read my mind! LOL Great rant....now I feel better too

My mother is the same way. At this point I just ignore her comments. I'm doing this for MYSELF and no one else. I'm also very fortunate that my daughters are extremely supportive. Hang in there!
