We all fall off the wagon occasionally. I did it myself this past week while I was on vacation. Don't let it get you down, let it motivate you to get back on track. Just stand up, brush yourself off and start again. You'll do great!

People have to be accountable for their own actions. Unfortunately, there may be nothing you can do - they won't change until they realize that they are actually hurting themselves, not helping.

I can fit into size 10 jeans! And I can walk up 2 flights of stairs without feeling like I'm going to collapse :) Best of all, I went on an airplane and fit comfortably into the economy seat LOL Down 45 pounds, 35 to go. Wish me luck!

Good job! You gave up soda? Wow -- I can't seem to break the diet soda habit. It's the only drink I really really like. I've cut down, but can't seem to cut it out completely :) Feel free to add me as a friend. Maybe you can give me some pointers about removing soda from my diet completely lol

Hi Sun_child! My doctor told me to walk -- doesn't matter how fast or how far -- but to do a straight 30 minute walk every day. Don't know if you can incorporate it into your day, but It's been one of the best decisions/commitments I've ever made. I also make a lot of my own meals now. Cutting out the processed foods has…

Hi Caitlin! Welcome! Congratulations on being down 75 pounds -- That's quite an accomplishment! I'm down 45 pounds, with my ultimate goal being 80. I've never run into anyone here who "fat shames". It finally clicked when my doctor said to lose weight and get my sugar levels down or he was going to have to diagnose me as diabetic. I want to be here for my kids (and future grandkids!) so I decided it was time to take this seriously. I'm down 45 pounds thanks mostly to the support and motivation of the people on MFP. I…

I found that starting with small goals really helped me - mini goals (like 5 pounds to start). Also, I made a commitment to get in a 30 minute walk every day. Doesn't matter the speed, just 30 minutes of walking. It's helped me tremendously, and was an easy thing to do. I sit at a computer all day too, and get stiff and…

I've got Rheumatoid Arthrits and Fibromyalgia. I walk every day. If I'm in pain it's a short, very slow walk - but I've found that it really helps the pain in the long run. If I don't walk I feel worse. Focus on calories if you can't exercise, and feel free to friend me - The more support the better. These forums are great…

I never thought it would help but I find I lose more weight when I eat back the exercise calories. If I don't, the weight doesn't drop as fast.

I love my fitbit! It gives me the motivation to take those extra few steps every day. I've got the fitbit one, but I think when this one finally dies out I'll get the new blaze or some type of wristband - one that monitors the heart rate.
