Couldn't agree more!

I'm sure if I told my boyfriend this he would take it the wrong way too. But it is true, there are many things that I enjoy doing alone, just because of the type of person I am. Working out is one of them. I get into my zone and forget about everything around me. The next step is to leave my actual phone at home and use a…

I can relate to so many of these replies lol. I deal with people all day as well, and need that time alone....

October 3rd Weigh In - 135 lb. Big disappointment.

I'm still trying to figure this out too. I just started this week (lifting and running) and I need some advice/support on how to better plan my workouts. I was thinking run twice a week and lift 3 times, but I am not sure this is even feasible. Will add you as a friend! L.

So true. Big eye opener. No more being complacent! L.

Last night I did a lower body workout for the first time in awhile. I used to be pretty good at certain things. I nearly fell flat on my face doing lunges and squats, and could only do 10. Used to plow through waaayyy more. Don't give up.

Amazing work!

Beauty. Today is leg day for sure.

Hi there, Will totally offer support :) Friend request sent. L.

I drink a fair amount of water each day because it makes my skin look nice. That's about it.

For sure. NO more excuses. I realized how silly I was being. Must...be....better!

Toronto. Anyone can add me!

Agreed. My motivation is so low these days and I know I'm just getting unhealthier and for the most part plumper. Time to really think things over! Thanks!

I am seriously considering joining the 5:00 am club (or at the latest, the 6:30 am club). I need all the motivation I can get to make this happen. It is the only time in the day I can devote to exercise, so if it's going to happen, it needs to happen then. L.

The only comment I've ever received at the gym was from a man who came up to me while doing tricep pull-downs. He noted that my form was a little off, and wondered if I would be ok if he suggested an improvement. I welcome those helpful comments.

LMAO. First of all, congrats on your weight loss. The reason I'm laughing is because when I first saw this, I thought to myself - OH wow someone who is going through the same crap as me trying to find ONE replacement tire for their car because only ONE tire has blown. It's Monday, what can I say....

Thanks so much for all of your replies. It means a ton to me. On the positive side, I have started taking better care of myself by improving my diet and I did pick up some supplements/vitamins last week. I know it will take some time to improve though. In the meantime, I will start exercising again, but lightly. I will…

I cut down quite a bit due to the potential for weight gain. Now I treat myself to craft beers and have one after work, as opposed to getting a cheaper brand and having half a dozen.

I used to have "cheat days" but I found that it really didn't work for me. I'm more of a intuitive eater. I enjoy eating a wide range of healthy food choices and home cooked meals, and I'm tired of a lot of the fast food choices around my area anyways. Usually once every few weeks I'll go out for a greasy breakfast. I give…

Thank you. Thank you for posting this, thank you for having the courage to tell your story, and thank you for motivating me. Your introduction has given me the encouragement to take my own steps in the right direction. Friend request sent :)

Do what you feel works. Sure, there's a ton of literature out there saying gluten free is good, gluten free is bad, grains are wonderful, grains are terrible, etc etc., but only you know what works (and what doesn't) work for you. There are a lot of people that have foods that just don't agree with them for some reason or…

Something About You - Level 42

I crave crappy food from the hours of 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and then again after dinner (right before bed). I find that it's usually just from complete boredom, not really wanting to return to work, or just out of habit. I've recently been having a hot cup of tea after dinner, that helps. As for the afternoon sugar rush, I…

Thanks so much for the suggestions!

Thanks. You are both right, I rarely go outside at all during the day.

My first guess would be not to work out. The reason I say this is I had a friend who was bit by a dog (on her hand) and the doctor made her wear a full splint (just as if it was broken) so the infection wouldn't spread. I am no doctor (and I have no clue if that even makes sense) but my first guess would be to let it heal,…

My rule of thumb is to just not cook the living crap out of vegetables. It kills the nutrients and also makes them slimy and undesirable. I agree with the other posts of sautéing and roasting vegetables. It really brings out the flavour!
