LOL. I knew quite a few actually.

Definitely agree with the point made about looking for an easy way. I think that's why a lot of people get discouraged after a few workouts and quit. They don't see results, they are sore, they can't do the exercise to completion, etc. It happens everywhere. Look at people fresh out of college. They expect their 100k…

So you want to look super hot in a mini skirt? That's the only reason to work out. What if a person broke out into hives when they consumed gluten? What if a person just didn't like the way they felt after consuming gluten? Should they keep eating it even if they weren't diagnosed with Celiac? Absolutely not. What ever…

I am motivated and positive. Send me a request :)

Incredible! One of my goals is to be able to run a 5k. I'm the one who figures I can jump on a treadmill and run it right out the gate (read: I'm impatient). Your journey sure is inspiring!

I've only really committed myself to working out this week. There are changes I'd like to see, and honestly losing 10 lb is really not the one that excites me. Just as your post mentioned, I want to see how this effects other areas of my life :)

At 3:30 pm in the afternoon, or 6:00 am in the morning, it's really easy to let yourself off the hook and say you are going to skip your workout. It's just your inner thoughts saying "Nope, not gonna do this today". In all honesty, it's not like refusing to get a project done at work and having to deal with those…

It could be possible for those people to eat all kinds of crap food and not gain an ounce, but in the end, is it really all that healthy?
-
OH how I would love to be able to do a pull up!

Thanks, I think I'm just going to make a point of consuming more water. Heck, it can't hurt and I have started working out.

First official workout last night. squats - 5x5 @ 40 lb bench press - 5x5 @ 40 lb rows - 5x5 @ 40 lb. I could feel the squats working. The bench press and rows I could have definitely used a higher weight. I was plowing through those ones.

I will post in that thread!

There's no plates. It's an apartment gym, so the equipment is severely limited. From what I've seen there are 6 barbells, and I believe they go from 40 lb (smallest) and jump by 20 lb increments (I think).

Yes, I can confirm it. If you want full out details, please feel free to PM me. I don't really want to discuss my periods and sexual activity here. Correction - 1.5L. Half of 3L. Either way, yes, I see your point. I should technically be pissing way more. I should have clarified that it is just happening today. I've…

I can confirm without a doubt it is not pregnancy.

I don't know much about the practice myself, but if it helps you in other areas of your life, then it will probably help with the whole fitness/weight loss aspect too (aka - more positive attitude).

It's so true, and I'm sure the hardest part is throwing in the towel and saying you can't do it anymore. I've never been a quitter (unless it comes to crossword puzzles). I always try and try and try because I believe there's always a solution. I'm right, because there always is a solution. It's just that the solution…

Love it.

I think with me, growing up in the middle of nowhere played a big role in the foods I enjoy today. I had this obsession with going into the garden and eating raw vegetables. Being so far away from a major city, we never had the option of picking up drive-thru on the way home. Even when we went to local restaurants, the…

Agreed. I used to be that one who would go out of my way to listen, to help, to offer solutions, to really dig deep into the problem and give oodles of support. That left me feeling empty, drained and alone (oddly enough). That's partially why I came to this site. I recognized I needed to worry about my own well-being…

Thanks for all your encouragement! I'm actually excited to be hitting the gym tonight, instead of making some lame excuse (I have to clean, I have to cook, it will be crowded, I'm bored, I'm hungry, I'm cold, I just washed my hair.....)

I want to be able to run a 5k and lift heavy weights. I'm thinking C25K and StrongLifts, however that might be overkill.

I use essential oils quite a bit, but I do not ingest them. For me, I enjoy their benefits usually in a bath or in a diffuser to make my home smell nice. I do believe in the effects of aromatherapy or making the air fresher, but I certainly don't see how rubbing them on your skin or ingesting them is a miracle cure.

Good point. I'm going to try a few things, see what sticks. The most important thing though is I'm going to get moving.

This is true. I would hate to be "that one" who contributed to a brewery closing down!

Good advice. You are right. That was a post that should have just said the following: "The reason I'm not working out is NOT because the leg press machine is broken, but instead it's because I choose to sit on my fat *kitten* and drink beer". Thanks.

I just take Vitamin D. However, the nausea started before I started taking Vit D regularly. I'm going to try and drink more water today and eat earlier. See if that helps.

This is all about personal choice. OP - Right now, you are focused on counting your calories very strictly. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, because it's something you feel that needs to be done. If you said to your friend - "Hey, right now, I'm really serious about counting my calories and getting things under…

Just for today I will be mindful of my money and not spend on silly items Just for today I will start working out Just for today I will try harder

I'm 35. Always looking for more support!
