Dehydration?

I noted in another post that I have been waking up feeling nauseous on quite a few occasions. I'm officially on my third water bottle (I've had 1.5 L thus far) and a cup of green tea and have not been to the washroom.

I'm thinking to myself, what could possibly be causing this? Then I realized it. I take baths every night that cause me to sweat a ton.

I don't think the sweating aspect is a horrible thing, but I do think I need to increase my water intake if I plan on doing that.

    Again, seeing the doctor about the nausea would be the smart thing to do.

    Well, if you're waking up with nausea often, I'd start with a pregnancy test.

    I can confirm without a doubt it is not pregnancy.

    because you are male? celibate? If you are sexually active then you cannot confirm this until you get a pregnancy test.

    It's also unlikely that your baths are making you dehydrated. If you'v ehad 3L of water and not yet taken a piss, you should talkt o your doctor.

    Yes, I can confirm it. If you want full out details, please feel free to PM me. I don't really want to discuss my periods and sexual activity here.

    Correction - 1.5L. Half of 3L. Either way, yes, I see your point. I should technically be pissing way more. I should have clarified that it is just happening today. I've usually made many more trips to the washroom by now. Just thought the fact I had an intense workout and an intense hot bath last night had something to do with it.

    If you worked out this morning and are including your 1.5L of water intake as being what you also consuumed while working out, then you probably just haven't had enough water today. If you are getting sick while drinking lots of water, then go to the doctor. Any time I'm very dehydrated and take a hot shower, I get light-headed and nauseous during and right after the shower, and as long as I drink more water and lay down I'm fine.
  • Thanks, I think I'm just going to make a point of consuming more water. Heck, it can't hurt and I have started working out.

    OP, If you're positive its impossible to be pregnant, I would get checked out by your doctor.

    @nogreenthumb

    I just remembered!

    Checking your tongue can tell you if you're dehydrated. I don't remember the symptoms, google it. But, my mom told me "show me your tongue, you're dehydrated" and when I arrived at the ER, surprisingly they agreed. So they put me on an IV to replenish fluids and I didn't pee until the end of the second bag was almost empty. They wouldn't release me until I peed a couple times to make sure I was hydrated enough.
