I take the Primal approach, Order grass fed and free range meat from 8oclockranch.com and try to get as many of my veggies/fruits/dairy from organic local farms as I can.

lol, is it weird that I just ate one of the laughing cow cheese wedges for breakfast by itself today

That looks amazing

I am a big advocate of the primal approach, perhaps it would work for you? It's all about removing toxins from food and getting the most nutrition you can out of what you eat. I think it would be worth at least looking into, especially if you are breast feeding.…

Bread may not affect you like it does me, but I always gain when I eat even just a few pieces. It also seems to make me want to eat more food in general.

It's not my photobucket

This is what I have been following.

It may sound crazy to list this as healthy, but it seems to be, and its amazing good old bacon and eggs http://inventorspot.com/articles/big_fatty_bacon_eggs_breakfast_healthy_says_new_study_39568

I have heard from several people that Doxycycline Hyclate seems to cause water retention or slight weight gain. But I have no first hand experience, and there are lots of antibiotics out there

I see your point, but what if you where going to the doctor, getting blood work done, and they tell you, you have no deficiencies. Or... that you do, so you eat foods high in the nutrients you are deficient in and you go back for tests and claim that now you have no deficiencies. Do you think they are accurate enough, and…

I think there are two sides to this. One, exercise makes you perspire, which means you are depleting your sodium reserves. But it also seems to be a balancing act with potassium. From what I've read you want to maintain a 1:1 to 3:1 potassium:sodium ratio.

I spent a lot of time researching this and came to the conclusion of the Tanita BC554 I like it a lot ^.^ http://www.amazon.com/Tanita-BC554-Ironman-InnerScan-Composition/dp/B0007ZH18M/ref=sr_1_26?ie=UTF8&qid=1332373520&sr=8-26

This is what I am going on http://fanaticcook.blogspot.com/2011/10/taking-vitamins-may-lead-to-earlier.html http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/10/11/more-evidence-against-vitamin-use/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6TMM0xR1yE and it concerns me. I feel there just must be a better answer.

To avoid any information would be less than scientific... It should be investigated further. If we followed your ethic, we'd all still think the earth is flat.

I do not belive this statement to be true beacuse this asumes humans are broken by default. It just doesn't add up for me asuming we got here via evolution why would we even exist if not for being able to give ourselves the nutrition we need from real food. I also disagree with limiting calories, eat good, wholesome,…

You make a good point, perhaps I am miss-thinking it. What if I where say I think removing grains and refined sugars from the diet prevents your body from demanding more calories than you need via a feeling of hunger. That seems to be a more accurate portrayal of what happens to me.

I love how easaly the calories in = calories out idea can be blown by those that lose more weight by consuming the same number of calories however of a different type of food. Just cause you blow off information does not mean its wrong, especially if I can prove it works with my own body.

I add things via memory, eyeballing what I have eaten. I would also like to point you to this http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike/metabolism/thermodynamics-and-weight-loss/

There is good reason to believe a calorie deficit will incur weight loss, but I eat first and measure later with MFP every now and then to see where I stand. I feel that if it is as natural as being able to listen to my body, then there must be something wrong with the foods that prevent me from following what my body…

I wish there was an easy answer for this, but if she is going to resolve this problem she has to do it for herself. There are several aproaches you can take, but I'd say if she has such a loss of apitite it might be good reason to seek medical atention as that can be a symptom of an underlying cause.

You know perfectly well what science I am talking about. and I know you don't believe it. But I am living proof that what that science claims is true at least for me and everyone else I have had try it. We are all human, so who knows, perhaps those same rules can apply to others here too. In a recient study people who…

I was just reading this: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/are-detoxes-and-cleanses-safe-and-effective/#axzz1plaqLbeZ perhaps it will add help people looking for info on the topic.

I blame sugar and grains for my addiction to food. After removing them I became a brand new much healthier feeling person with a 10% deficit in body fat and 50+ lbs lost.
-
I am firmly under the impression that weight loss is contributed more to the types of foods you eat vs the number of calories you eat. I have had better results on following a primal/paleo aproach than doing anything else. Perhaps it would work for you.

I would say rice. I know bananas contain alot of sugar which can potentially make weightloss difficult, but I wouldn't say they are the soul cause belly fat.

I remember reading something indicating refined carbs and sugars being addictive. This looks simaler http://www.dietsinreview.com/diet_column/12/sugar-as-addictive-as-cocaine-heroin/
