no, NOT everyone know what it means. some people that come here arent equipped with weight loss terms or knowledge and ask questions in regards to such. and when givin a term, not knowing what it "means" they may take it as a truth.
-
then how hard is it really to change the phrase to add information that would make it true? i know exactly what they mean, but thats not what they say. but like i said, the phrase, in and of itself, IS NOT RIGHT. bottom line. when people do not have previous knowledge of this information it leads them to believe what is…

i suggest you look it up, you may come across lots of useful information.

im not assuming they mean weight, the phrase is muscle WEIGHS more then fat. thats not in any way an assumption. and i agree that the same unit of weight measurement is what weighs the same. knowledge aside, the phrase is flawed. not to mention, SO many people dont know this information. with weight loss, muscle gain, etc.…

<snip> muscle is more dense, i agree.

i agree that a cup is a unit of measurement, but in terms of weight, it is not. it is NOT essentially true. the phrase, in and of itself, it NOT true. and i agree, that alot of people understand what this means, however, when posting on forums to newbs about muscle weighing more then fat, and thats why their scale numbers…

i meant a pound is a pound. and thats what i said. and it doesnt matter really what they use as a unit of measurement. any "unit" of muscle weighs the same, as that same "unit" of fat. they just take up different amounts of space. the phrase is flawed in that it does not clarify. and it drives me crazy.
-
not to mention that if said person DOES know what they are talking about, how hard is it to add "BY VOLUME" to the end of a sentence?
-
i say, say what you mean, and mean what you say. muscle does not weigh more. period. so when people say muscle weighs more then fat, to someone who has GAINED weight after a WEEK of exercise, they are wrong in their usage.
-
this one was probably said already but "muscle weighs more than fat" NO it doesnt. a pound is a pound.

i get the frustration, however i am in no way expecting this to be some sort of medical miracle. i plan to use it for skin, hair, and small doses to aid in digestion and to help internally. i have seen it on dr. oz and read up on many studies that are available online, and although they cant say what will happen long term,…

-
bumping my own post in hopes i might recieve some suggestions
-
i agree in a sense, the jars i have seen say 1 TBSP 3x a day... for dietary benefits. i think overall health could be achieved with just one TBSP.

by these calculations, with a bmr 0f 1645, i should be taking in 329 cals? its calculations like these that confuse and ultimately harm people. i would suggest talking to your doctor.

actually me and 1 one of my sisters are redheads and she has that texture of hair. i was born a strawberry blonde and as i aged (and dyed my hair) my hair became a bit darker so my hair is soft, thick, and totally red! (thank god!)
-
yea, when i was in middle school i tried dying it blonde... BIG MISTAKE... and my mom still made me go to school :grumble: BUT i used to hate my hair color, till i went natural for locks of love. then i was told my natural hair color was a color people would "die for", also i found out that hot red heads were hard to…
-
natural - red (have been going natural since 2005!) winter - closer to a auburn summer - closer to strawberry blonde

when i first decided to lose weight, i was using a different site that had me at 1800 cals, and i was losing 2 lbs a week. when i came here it had me at 1250. the first two weeks at 1250 i quit losing weight and couldnt find a way to fix it so i tried cycling, spiking etc. nothing worked. i stood at a stand still till i…

if your dietician says keep it between 1500 and 1800, id say its best to listen to the professional.
-
when i worked in a laundry room, and was on my feet at least 5 hours a day, i burned 2500 cals everyday without exercise (i know this because i was using a bodymedia fit). so 1500 seems a bit low, not to mention that number alone is about 150 below my bmr at my goal weight...

you have such a glow about you that makes me think your a very happy person  @elsham - love your skin tone!
